Match Thread Coventry City vs Fulham (H) - Coventry Building Society Arena - Sat 24th October (3pm KO)

Truth is if it stays this drab you accept it for what it is and take the point. We don't want to be Hulled again. We'd have been annoyed with a draw there but in hindsight it would have been another important point.

Feels like the way we set up , wed struggle if we went behind

Absolutely great bring down and turn by Cherif, then doesnt know where to go with it and loses it.

We look a different team to the Newcastle match, the energy and aggression just isnt there. I get the match plan is to stand off a bit and let them have it and counter but we need to be far more aggressive and energetic than we have been to play that game

MvE was well out of position before sprinting back and nearly putting it in his own net.

That was close

We need to be asking more questions of their defence. They're having such an easy afternoon. Playing like the away team at home to one of the divisions weakest sides.

Honestly this is 'fine' and its clear Fulham are tosh as well as us.

I hope our subs are effective

You see the benefit of Yirenkyi when we counter and he ends up in the box with Cherif before any of the other attackers.

But he does need to provide more of an impact when we have possession.

I'm glad I dip in and out of the match thread. The game I see is very different to some others - for me, Yirenki and BTA have been ok.

This Fulham high line is crying out for a bit more pace on the wings than we have on the pitch currently, especially given the commitment to play counter attack football.
Midfield look like they are zonal marking half the time and it's a scary sight. Would be happy to see Gboho and Onyeka on at HT

We seem to setup not to concede for the first half. We are way over rating some of these teams. Attack them.

Dno who the irish guy is on my commentary but hes a joy

Not too many positives so far, although I think that Cherif continues to show promise and the Thomas-Pinnock partnership is looking solid again.

Sorry I’m going full on negative for that first half performance. Selection, ambition and quality not enough if we want to stay up against a team below us. That negative final minute summed it up. Massive improvement needed in second half.

Cherif has offered very little, bizarre that Asante who's looked our only goal threat again is getting criticism

Not sure what hes supposed to do with the 200 long balls hes had to work with in fairness

Asante continues to offer zero quality

Sounds f*cking dire. Sports Extra comms. have talked about the weather more than the game!

Boring that. I'd take the draw as things stand. We really should be starting more players we signed in the summer at this point.

Absolute fucking dirge.

Really difficult first half to watch. Never seen fans clamouring for the HT whistle before.
