Match Thread Coventry City vs Brighton & Hove Albion FC (H) - Match Thread - Sun 13th September (2pm KO)

Haven't felt so deflated by a loss in a long time.
When Mason Clark hit that daisy cutter at the beginning of the 2nd half it should have made it 2-1, based on all the chances we spurned in the 1st half. From then it was self destruction, I would have fancied us to have a go at 0-2 had Taiwo not been sent off. Sakamoto, Cherif, Yerenkyii, Torp, Tchouma, Hamer on the bench. We could have had a real go.

EMC spurned two great chances which Gboho probably takes

OK we maybe in trouble but the hope is their keeper made 2 or 3 worldie saves but we just crumbled in the end

Rudoni's volley goes in 92% of the time. Fair to say, the save changed the complexion of the game at least until half.

One thing I thought about yesterday’s game is that we didn’t seem to play with any real aggression. I watched Sunderland/Arsenal game the previous night and although Arsenal ran out 2-0 winners, Sunderland had a real go at them physically, made it very hard for them. To me we looked a bit ‘soft’, and it made me think how will we cope against teams like Sunderland who’ll try to physically bully us.
It was more we didn't get near them in midfield.

You can't clatter someone when they're just passing it through you.

Agreed. It's lack of awareness and lack of pace particularly in midfield. Its no good having big physical players if you can't get near anybody because they're good ball players.

Won’t deny it was a good save from Rudoni’s chance, but not a worldy. He’s not even stretched.

Brilliant? The closest to that are Arsenal and they have you chasing shadows.

Brighton are dangerous going forward but a bit suspect at the back. If we play it like we did against Manchester City we have a decent chance of 3 points.
This hasn't aged well... tough old game!

Verbruggen's saves here, at least we has 3 good attempts on target.

If true, would be nice to be told rather than Fans 2nd guessing everything. However can't believe the Visa hasn't come through yet as I don't believe he would be allowed to even train.

Almost like people who get paid can ask Lampard questions like this before and after games but they just give it the "what did you think of the fans".

Was he? Without going to check I am pretty sure he was against them?

In which case I owe him a huge apology, but Im fairly sure he was.
Or was he the pro sisu, he definitely held some controversial view.

Yeah same. 99% sure he was the very opposite.

In which case, apologies Flemoil

He once received a message from one of those wasps weirdos like Kalns saying they knew where he went on a night out with proof they were following him

I did have the dubious pleasure of sharing an image with him of my head on a spike and then being blown up

What was Kalns again? Something to do with the SBT weren't he? Worked for the council?

Kalns was an incredibly strange person.

I think he worked for the Council yes but his main intertest I think was pushing an agenda to get the Cov United stuff off the Ground and some delusional process to re-establish the club as a weird Pheonix start up - That Johnson guy who posted on here was also with Cov Utd

There was the rather unedifying time when Kalns, Jan, Moz, CJ and all that lot gave the Wasps bloke a round of applause and even invited Eastwood to an SBT meeting. Jan end up a Wasps season ticket holder. I doubt Kalns even supported the club.

Pathetic bunch all of them.
