Just on the train home. Always a pleasure to spend time in one of the UK's great cities, everyone I met was sound and the stadium was great. A typically heavy sesh before and after the game which I'm paying for this morning. An outstanding breakfast at Moose Coffee and lovely walk around the Georgian Quarter and Baltic Triangle this morning.
As for the match, I echo many comments already made. Right up until the goal I thought we were consistently good and occasionally brilliant. Torp for Grimes and Ghobo for BTA has made a huge difference, we're quick to get the ball forward and dangerous doing so.
The collective headloss after the goal, Lampard's once again worthless substitutions and lack of game management, and especially Rushworth's performances are big concerns but by and large I think we've found our ideal XI, formation and system and with a few tweaks we can make this season a success.
