Don’t want any of them to shine Saturday

[Caer Urfa]

Heard Ta bi and alderate Shone last night.

Alderete has been shite but he was great midweek, back to last seasons levels.

Ta Bi was class the other night with 3 assists, he deserves a chance.

Get in Everton

It's a must win for me. We can't keep losing to the teams around us or we will be cut adrift. Don't care if it's a 94th min own goal which gives us the win just as long as we win. I'll go for 2:1 City

[PVA]

Ahoka Xhaka
Ta bi Le Fee

Simms has scored one deflected goal and has looked not as good as Awonyi at things like holding the call up and controlling passes.

Thats the problem then he needs to lay off being on the phone and concentrate on playing football

[stevefloyd]

I don't know why people think Gboho and Tchouma are better than the alternatives. Frank sees them in training every day so has a better idea of who is performing. So I see lobbing them both in as a panic situation. I can't see him doing that and dropping Grimes.

Well we don't really know if they are better but it would be nice to see if they are

[Boicey]

The two priorities are the Grimes and MVE positions.
MVE needs replacing by a better defender to free up Sakamoto to attack a lot more.
The Grimes position needs to move 10 yards forward to actually link play up and move us forward. Torp would probably be best as a replacement there.
It might expose the back 4 more but they have to cope and maybe having more space will help.

[Boicey]

The general consensus on here last season was that Simms wasn't good enough for us, yet now he's supposed to be our saviour in the PL.

Straw man argument. It's whether he is better for the team we've got at least as a sub, certainly whether he gives us more spirit.

[Boicey]

He has for Awoniyi to bomb Simms out?

A bit of a stretch. Awonyi made an awkward non malicious challenge. Hardly a serious disciplinary matter for the manager.

The long throw needs a rest ! He’s lost a bit of distance makes it an easy defend

Awoniyi showed plenty of promise before the sending off - it's hardly a surprise he came back into the squad.

I missed the Newcastle game so as it stands the last time I saw us score a PL goal in the flesh (and win a game) was 25 and a half years ago. Against Sunderland. Its an omen.

Another straw man. No one was talking about that.

There have been plenty of posts on here about Simms being dropped. It was actually in reply to your post, BTW.

When he's started, I think he's looked good.
Think I saw a comment on here saying he struggled to get into games when he comes on as a sub late in the game for Forest and it might be the case here too.

I'd start him tomorrow instead of Cherif.

[AOM]

I'd probably go -

Rushworth
Van Ewijk Mfuni Pinnock Dasilva
Onyeka Yirenkyi (although I'd imagine it will be Grimes)
Rudoni
Sakamoto Awoniyi Ghobo

[Gustavo38]

We get 3 points tomorrow and Fulham will be forgotten. That's all I can say. Grimes will play, we all know he will and the only obvious replacement will be Mfuni for Thomas as that is forced. I would bring Frank back in for Yrenki. He looks too inexperienced at this level but will be great in a year or two. Awoniyi has to start up top.

His long throws were generally awful against Fulham but I think that was weather related.

We scored from one against Newcastle.

They are becoming too predictable now. Top quality defenders have them sussed in this leauge

[fernandopartridge]

Awoniyi needs to play to get back up to match sharpness really, I would start him. I think Cherif is good in some respects but he doesn't feel like a penalty area forward, not seen much from him in movement to get on the end of crosses (abeit good awareness for his goal v Newcastle)

Part of that problem is that he can't get them far enough
