It just gets better!

I still thank the lords every day that Burnley priced us out of McNally forcing us to go for Thomas instead.Benched Bobby Thomas ( for Lewis hall). Thomas a steal at 4m for defcon.
He's been class from day 1. Incredible he cost around £2 million.I still thank the lords every day that Burnley priced us out of McNally forcing us to go for Thomas instead.
Excellent all round. Defensively much improved. Mfuni looked like a seasoned pro, Thomas continues to develop into a very solid premier league player and Pinnock shows just why Lampard bought him. JDS gets better every game and has added goalscorer to his game. Yirinichi gave his all and walked a tightrope throughout (I was worried he would give away a penalty or be sent off). Grimes and Onyeka were more assured. Rudoni had a great first half, BTA ran his socks off (but is he really a PL starter?) and EMC held ball up well early on (but was a little disappointing. Rushworth solid without really being threatened.
Soon as I saw the starting lineup I knew we would win to be honest!
Yirenkyi has to be one of the first names on the team sheet moving forward, a proper engine in the midfield, he was immense yesterday.
For such a young player in a new country, that was a proper impressive performance against a good side. Potential to be a real massive transfer in the future.
And that N’Doye he was all over in the first half (even had to switch to the right side to get away from Caleb) looked a really good player at the World Cup.

Yeah the same people doing it a month or two after he’d taken over last and last January - it’s like they never learn.christ was that really happening
place is the pits sometimes
Is JDS less exposed with a back 3? And was he farther forward than usual for the goal because we were playing a back 3? Still don't think he's Prem standard. Few have ever denied he has quick feet though, as we saw. On the same note, despite the result I still don't think Grimes is good enough either, however Onyeki did more than enough to quell scepticism.Excellent all round. Defensively much improved. That was a Championship level match but good for confidence going into the break.
What is our best back 3 if the Man City lad was so good? I assume he is the injury replacement.
He was, but I saw their game against Liverpool and he looked alright. I think Yirenkyi should get some credit for making it even harder for him, didn’t let him get settled at all.N'Doye for them was crap - Powderpuff player

Sorry, but this narrative around JDS is completely outdated and has been completely wrong since Lampard took over.
JDS looked poor in 23/24 and 24/25 under Robins… He has always looked a lot better in Lampard’s system.
