I think you might be right although sometimes Tuesdays death figures are higher because of a bit of a weekend recording lag as well. I always look over 7 days however there’s no doubt been an increase recently. Not really looked into split between U.K. nations although I do keep an eye on PHE covid inpatients which has crept up over past week or so to 6900…guessing linked to spike in cases/waning immunity. Still reasonably under control at the moment 🤞

Also worth checking with your own doctor. I got jab one and two from my GP and had a call from them to book in jab three. My Dad had his first two at his GP, different surgery to me, and again got the call direct from them.

My Mum had hers at Stoneleigh which is now closed, not sure if that's because its not needed or because of the work taking place for running HS2 through the site, and got nothing until she chased her GP and was then given an appointment for a couple of days later.

I heard something similar to what Grendel is saying, it won't be a GP invite, it will be online booking.
I'd prefer thisto be honest because I had to blag way into Stoneleigh to get my 2nd because it seems my GP forgot all about me

Didn't realise some clubs have already gone down the vaccine passport route. Know someone who went to Ipswich at the weekend, thought they were on the wind up when they said there were covid checks to get in, including onsite testing.
Any person aged 11 or over will either be required to provide proof of a NHS negative lateral flow test (no longer than 48 hours prior to the event) or proof of full vaccination (with the second dose administered at least 14 days before the relevant match). The Club will not accept actual lateral flow test sticks as proof.

For supporters aged 16 or 17, only one dose is required as proof of full vaccination.

The Club will also accept vaccine cards or a photo of the card as proof of double vaccination. You may be asked to provide photographic ID (passport, driving license) as well. A bank card will be accepted as proof of ID if no photo ID available.

The Club is aware of delays experienced by supporters when trying to load the NHS app to show proof of vaccination. To avoid this, screenshots of your proof of vaccination will be sufficient. You can obtain a 'paper copy' by calling 119 or applying online.

Please note that children under the age of 13 years will not need ID but their accompanying parent or guardian will have to validate their details.

The Club have arranged for mobile testing units will be in place around the stadium in Portman Road and Alderman Park. Please be advised that test results can take around 30 minutes to be processed.

I suspect because your doctors have had to go through everyone's medical records to see how gets covid jab priority. That's mainly the same people who are eligible for the flu jab.

I've been able to get a flu jab due to health issues for the last few years, never had a notification from my GP and always had to sort it myself. Since covid I get a reminder from my GP to book the flu jab.

This is the criteria list so assume one of these applies.
  • are 50 and over (including those who'll be 50 by 31 March 2022)
  • have certain health conditions
  • are pregnant
  • are in long-stay residential care
  • receive a carer's allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick
  • live with someone who is more likely to get infections (such as someone who has HIV, has had a transplant or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis)
  • frontline health or social care workers
  • respiratory conditions, such as asthma (needing steroid inhaler or tablets), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including emphysema and bronchitis
  • diabetes
  • heart conditions, such as coronary heart disease or heart failure
  • being very overweight – a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or above
  • chronic kidney disease
  • liver disease, such as hepatitis
  • neurological conditions, such as Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), or cerebral palsy

  • problems with your spleen, for example, sickle cell disease, or if you have had your spleen removed
  • a weakened immune system as the result of conditions such as HIV and AIDS, or taking medicines such as steroid tablets or chemotherapy

The only above list I would get for is my late mum feom 8 years ago she had authiritis and stuff but idk why they would offer it me this year, and my BMI is no longer near 40

I guess but idk why they would do it now, my health record is clear my BMI is nowhere near 40 my blood pressure is good no health conditions I was diabetic for like 2 months and rwversed it due to weight loss so I seriously have no idea.

Was you pre diabetic ? Because there is no cure for diabetes

Why would I? I am not against vaccines getting them or avoiding them, never once said I was I just said if its your time to croak it then its life, but you're right I dont think I will be getting for 2 reasons
1) I'm only kn the uk to sell a property.
2) my grandparents the ones I want to protect have already got their flu jabs and now boosters for covid also

Cases and tests both seem to have dropped by around the same amount so could just be the impact of half term. Hopefully the numbers will continue to drop next week when the schools go back.

Infections down by 30,000 this past week which,of course,hasn’t been mentioned anywhere in the mainstream media…typical
