So from your list, we've added just one new decent player since promotion from L1. And people wonder why we're struggling?

We've added James, Sheaf and Walker but the jury is out on them all. James is clearly a player of a high standard though.

Agree with you there, but the fact they didn't make your original list speaks volumes. James is the only one with any pedigree in this division. We spent most of our budget on players with next to no experience at this level, and it shows.

Experienced Championship players don’t fit either the budget or the development model.

It doesn't speak volumes at all, it speaks of it being too early to say.

Experienced Championship players expect experienced Championship players wages.
Also if they're available it's usually because they are at the tail end of their career & can't get another Championship team, the odd one (like James) great but we can't build a team that way.

The fact we’ve got players on contracts they signed in L2 tells you all you need to know. Our rise has been meteoric and unless you’ve got tens of millions to blow in the window the squads gonna have some holes in it.

Yep. Reminds me of Soton a few years back, but they had Lallana and Lambert spearheading their attack.

O'Hare and walker may be able to do a similar, if not quite as effective, job as those for us.

Having our two first choice strikers out has really disrupted our progress.

We’ve been terribly unlucky. Godden and Walker out for extended periods, Kasta, Jobello, Hilßner not stepping up, Jones injured. All our flair and finishing gone and they’re not easy to find at short notice.

Hilsner has been unfit through illness and Jobello out 12 months with his ACL problem. Hilsner in particular should be given some slack his situation here is exactly the same as DaCosta’s who has only just got into the team after 6 months. When he comes back as far as I’m concerned he starts from scratch with a clean slate.

Also we signed O’Hare after promotion. Who was an excellent bit of business.

Depends how much he's making tbh.

We apparently had no trouble bringing in James just a few weeks ago, or McFadzean when we were in L1. The experience is out there and affordable if you want it, but we chose to go another route.

If we get relegated I still think it would be something that was entirely preventable.

We have been really unlucky with injuries no doubt, but I echo some of the statements from others about the management needing to step up.

We are naive everywhere.

Tempted to add baka to this list. Given an extension, played well in pre season then after one shoddy start he's been dropped and never seen again.

Sensible decision to let go on Jan but he's kept on as back up due to injuries but still hasn't featured at all.

Whether he's good enough or not. The management of baka raises some questions. Why kept on in summer. Why kept on in jan. Why given absolutely no chance on the pitch when everyone else is failing
