PCR trumps LFT, there should not be any confusion. The LFTs are shite in any case and we’re just using them because we ordered tonnes in the first place.

Ok Tony. As per usual you can't think straight because of politics. It's getting a bit worrying now.
It’s really very simple Nick. Anti vaxxers are protesting about something that will save live whereas climate change protesters are campaigning about something that is costing lives. Politics has nothing to do with it. If you could think straight you’d see the very clear difference.

You know full well I was talking about their actions...

The ones in the link and the ones sat on the motorway.

It's not more dangerous though, is it?

I assume there’d be outrage then if the road protesters were stopping someone going for a jab and missed an appointment or going to hospital with COVID

The guy on last weeks media - Liam - is an arsehole and no one can defend the crap he was spouting

Are you purposely being thick?

He’s become outraged from Tunbridge Wells - well rugby to be more accurate

How many ambulances did those protestors block?
One would be one too many.

I lost my father in law a couple of months ago right in front of me. The ambulance took over 90 minutes to get to him. This was nothing to do with the climate insulter idiots. But if it was they would tell you the reason was good enough.

If anyone loses their life because of their actions they should be put on a charge of manslaughter.

They had a woman on 5live from Insulate Britain and she came over far better than this Liam fella, why they've nominated him to speak on their behalf is a mystery.
His interview with Nicky Campbell was excruciating.

It's probably more him nominating himself by just dominating meetings. Like us with the Trust. Half the time we're wondering what on earth's are these people doing being the spokespeople for us.

Since the start of August all I seem to see is 25k-35k testing positive for covid daily

Up until yesterday that's about 70 days and about 1.75million which seems a lot to me

Who keeps getting tested?

He and his rabble are about as credible as Wolfie Smith and the Tooting Poplar Front - bung the lot of them in the nick for a few months

Yeah it’s around 10 times higher than what it is here in Italy, I’d presume it’s schoolchildren?

For some reason the U.K. persists with mass testing versus most others - you can tell by hospital numbers which are more relevant this is now a completely pointless statistic

Nah, it's actually a very positive statistic if cases are high, but hospitalisations are low, as it shows vaccines are indeed working... and holding up.

It gives a base to compare to down the line.

So missus has been doing lateral flow tests every day since last Tuesday.. every single one negative .

Her PCR from work that they have every week (last Thursday) has come back positive .

Correct me , as this may be a silly question .

If you've had covid before in the past and not known , you have antibodies.

Would that potentially mess up future lateral flow test results?

When I had COVID, but before I developed symptoms, I tested negative several times with a LFT, before testing positive via PCR the same day. They're generally considered to be more accurate than the lateral flow tests.

Once you've recovered, you're advised not to take a PCR test for 90 days, as they can still pick up traces of the virus in your system and give you a false positive result. Haven't seen anything about lateral flow tests doing the same.

Thing is she's testing negative still on lateral flows every day 5 days now since her PCR , daughters tests all show positive every time.

That's strange and there must be a logical explanation

Lets not start pinning all the cases on schools again......schools have already been back for 6 weeks with no real noticeable uptick despite the additional testing within those environments...

31/08/21 versus 30/09/21

7 day average cases: 36K v 32K
7 day average tests: 913K v 867K
7 day avergage deaths: 120 v 105.

No if anything they've caught it off me as I had a horrendous cough and cold but kept testing negative 🙃
