That felt grim today. So little to get excited about. They had Oscar Bobb whose bit of quality made their slow tempo work out for them. We had nothing like that quality upfront so our slow tempo looked listless and half hearted. There was a bit more energy when Onyeka came on but what do Simms and Torp have to do to get a chance? Grimes and MvE are only Premier League players by definition, they are poor and not good enough. Grimes slowed us down too often and too much where was the tempo setting he did last season. MvE what has happened to him Championship is his level. Why have we spunked 30m on wingers to have BTA start on the wing. Cherif and Yirenkyi are very encouraging signings who will both go on to much bigger and better things. Pinnock and Mfuni Im not disheartened by that partnership at all just the icing on the cake being Thomas will now likely be out for a while meaning our next to step in at CB is Lati who no offence to him always fights for the badge but isnt at the level. Gus on for Tats at the end chasing a game was stupid should have come on for Grimes because Rudi isnt a winger and it allows us to have more men forward. What Tchaouna and Simms have done to not even make the squad, and what has Torp done to not even play a minute. Lampard needs to find a solution and quick otherwise it wont be a long season at all
