Don't get all salty because your attempt to get likes off the forums gimp squad backfired so badly n you. Maybe if you weren't so thick you'd understand what words mean.

Better luck next time dwarfy.

Only thing that's injured is your pride and your make believe life.

Cry me a river catweezle everyone is laughing at you.

We should open a thread on words you are too stupid to understand.

We can start with these

Unlikely
Canute
Hygiene
Friends
Reality

You mean the one where the surgeons were basically having to play top trumps with their patients to try and get operating theatre time?

Great news from the first randomised study of booster jabs. 10K people in the study, half had the booster, half had a placebo. Among those that got the booster the rate of symptomatic infection dropped to from 2.2% to 0.1%.

Edit: changed the link to a non-paywalled version of the Times article

Booster dose of Pfizer vaccine offers near-total protection from Covid

A third dose of the Pfizer vaccine provides “excellent” immunity, the first full trial has shown, as Boris Johnson suggested older people should be able to get

It's paywalled so is that on people who have had Pfizer jabs before or a mixture? Just wondering as it's basically pot luck what you will get for a 3rd jab

edited the link, shouldn't be paywalled now but essentially the study was on Pfizer for all 3 jabs as its a Pfizer study.

Tweet on the efficacy of the Pfizer boost. This is for 3xPfizer but they reckon a mix of Az and Pfizer just as good if not better.

Get that fucking vaccine programme rolling quicker

It's going to happen isn't it, vaccine passports and/or face coverings

Can we honestly blame those that haven't been vaccinated? Or are we just preparing for the first winter where we have covid and 'normal' flu rates in circulation

If we do introduce plan B, I'm fine with it but realistically we cannot keep doing it year on year. We have to live with it

We learn to live with flu (which we know will never be eradicated) with flu jabs, what is the difference with having a covid jab every winter?

I may have asked before but there must be stats which show the percentage of those that have been hospitalised or worse died with no jab, single jab, double jab regardless of age.

If so you would've thought the government would use these stats to promote vaccine uptake if that is what is being blamed for potentially having more restrictions in place

From the man who said that people in grenfell wouldn’t have died if they’d applied common sense. If Rees-Mogg catches it and dies I hope they put natural selection on the death certificate as cause of death.

Feels like it's a bit of a game to Rees-Mogg. See how far you can push the plebs before they kick off.

Unfortunately in this country if you have a plummy accent you're seen as authority, no questions asked.

To be fair I think there was 230k +
boosters yesterday and 75k first/second doses. I think if they can get over 400k combined it would be pretty good going especially when considering flu jab/other GP and backlog pressures. Also boosters are staggered (still advice is after 6months)

ps agree with posts about Rees mogg. Irresponsible and bizarre comments

How have some people not clocked on yet that the privileged twat thinks those of a lower social status should know their place and do as they're told while he and his posh mates can do what they like.

No-one could be thick enough to truly believe that excuse. But of course he believes the general public are stupid enough to swallow it.

It's astonishing that many think Mogg is a man of the people and Starmer is an elitist snob.

Isn't that the point of why you might have to re-introduce some measures though. It's more infectious and there is a load of it around so you have to slow the spread.

I would happily be forced to wear masks in shops again if it meant pubs stayed open and we weren't facing another lockdown which I really don't think I could handle very well.

The evidence is confusing though.

A medical guy on the radio confirmed our rate of infection is partly due to the fact we do test far more than most comparative countries - at present 4 times more that Germany and France.

The real contradiction is Wales where they have - he claimed - one in 49 people with COVID - much higher than the rest of the country and they have never loosened the mask restriction.

The mask debate is really a sideshow to the real issue of the 5 million adults who won't be vaccinated.

Anyone esle got reservations regarding the booster only being an RNA type vaccine?

I've had 2 x AZ, but have got a little bit of hesistancy over having an RNA booster.......hopefully when my booster is due early next year, we may get a choice.......but as of now, I'm not totally comfortable with having a RNA vaccine

I agree that vaccination (and boosters) are the real issue but I don't see how you get that number down now without enforcing a passport scheme.

I understand that it's the unknown what happens in the medium-long term. The only thing I can say though is that Mrs Wisdom had two Pfizer as initial vaccines, and has suffered no ill effects whatsoever six months on.

Both of mine were Pfizer and not had any problems, my phone upgraded automatically to 5G, which was a bonus.
I was hesitant too but it’s for the greater good if we get vaccinated/get boosters.

The Nordic countries have paused one of them ,Moderna I think I read over the Myocarditis issue especially in younger men.
Pzisers data on efficacy of the third jab is very good with a Gap of 11 months in their trial study of 10k.
There would be real data to go on via Isreals roll out.
I have heard one anecdotal case from the first or second Pfizer that resulted in a heart attack and death in a forty year old female who was an absolute fitness fanatic.
It may or may not be connected of course but maybe some guidance around strenuous exercise might be pertinent considering the Myocarditis angle.

Going by what Johnson said yesterday the stockpile of boosters is predominantly Pfizer
