I can’t decide if it’s idiots all the way down or there’s people who know better but spread bullshit for cash/political gain. If it’s the former I have some sympathy, the latter can get fucked though.

Difficult to know either way. But if they are true it’s hardly surprising. Pandemic going on and that.

It’s still a shame though. There’s was one where all 6 members of the family died.

I don't think it is a shame with her tbf, as she's an appalling c**t:

So.. face coverings in a crowded area among strangers help reduce the spread... but not mandated. That reassures for train journeys, eh.

And what the hell is the rest of the bollocks he's spouting?!?
I didn’t realise covid didn’t spread amongst people who see each other often.

I don't like the thought of anybody dying horribly, personally. Even if they're a shit, they'll have family who'll be affected.

So vaccine passports will have to be shown for anyone attending our away games at Swansea and Cardiff then?

Laura Zoomer Loomer, too batshit for even the most rabid of alt right melts

I know right from wrong

Clearly not...

False info is pretty destructive, and dangerous in this case.

'Depopulation agenda?' If that was the case you'd just let Covid run!

Anyway if you don't want a reaction about conspiracies, why post one?

No he’s entitled to his crappy, ill informed, dangerous, thick opinion

And I’m entitled to think he’s a sheep who couldn’t think his way out of a paper bag because he parrots literally any old bollocks he sees that goes against the mainstream.

Got to love a liberal democracy.

“Just giving their opinion”

Fucking hell.
I think that despite the bravado the anti-vaxx lot are unable to accept the reality of the situation and can’t face the fact that the situation is out of control, hence the bullshit narratives about it being fake, pre-planned, controlled, NHS conspiracy etc.
Their behaviour is disgusting though and offensive to the NHS workers who’ve given so much over the last 18 months.

What are the studies on how the vaccine affects transmission rates?

Can't find anything anywhere.

Not sure.
Think they seemed to think of hope it was very effective in Israel at the point of mass vaccination but the Indian/Delta variant reduced it

Really not certain at all but think it's low may have seen 50% at one point but I do remember feeling crest fallen that it wasn't going to be the magic bullet.

Thanks for posting that.

Doesn't seem particularly reassuring whatsoever to be honest.

What doesn’t seem reassuring?

From the first one:
several of the available vaccines appear to limit infection and viral replication, often lowering viral load beneath the threshold for transmission and preventing symptoms…many studies show significant efficacy in preventing transmission for some vaccines, such as the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines

From the second one:
We provide empirical evidence suggesting that vaccination may reduce transmission by showing that vaccination of health care workers is associated with a decrease in documented cases of Covid-19 among members of their households. This finding is reassuring for health care workers and their families.

What stood out for you?

What stood out for you?

'Given that vaccination reduces asymptomatic infection with SARS-CoV-2,2,3 it is plausible that vaccination reduces transmission; however, data from clinical trials and observational studies are lacking.'

The studies largely say nothing.

That sentence you’ve quoted is immediately followed by another saying the authors have subsequently gathered “reassuring” empirical evidence though?

The studies were lacking; now they’re showing good news!

I hope you are right. Just seems to me the jury is out still.

I desperately want the vaccine to be the way out of this, but I'm losing a lot of hope that it is going to be the case.

Which studies have you seen that argue the contrary?

As I said, there seems to be a lack of studies that I could find at least. That's why I asked.

The ones you posted hardly cover the positive in glory though do they?
