But Arsenal was a huge lesson in top class PL football. Our players dominated by a team who will likely win the PL again, and our players are used to dominating other teams in the Champ.

Hull did a smash and grab at our place. Players would have thought this is a game to get some points on the board and maybe some goals. Considered a rival in terms of staying up.

I really hope the confidence and mentality hasn’t been knocked and they use this as a wake up call. Fans are feeling the reality check for sure.

Also Lampard is already feeling the heat and you could tell in the various interviews he looked worried today. Either the players aren’t responding to what he is saying or players can’t make the step up because the level is too much (and that’s not there fault, it’s ours for not being cut throat enough with who genuinely can or not).

Lampard and the players need to get to gripes with the PL very quickly. There’s no time for this Championship winning party hangover.

You’re going to have to fight like dogs and we need more help before the window closes with players who make a big impact in top flight football.

Hence why it took us until the 69th minute to make our first tackle against Arsenal, a game where we should have been tackling and fouling non stop.

Today we had more of the ball as we knew we would, and that suited Hull. As the game wore on, they set a trap and dared us to overcommit, which we did.

I think we are going to have to switch to a back 5 and potentially drop Grimes.

Crazy thing is we had such a head start compared to Ipswich and Hull. We were promoted in April but didn’t make our first signing until July 10th was it? That’s an insane amount of time wasted in getting bodies through the door.

I know the World Cup was on, but I’m sure we could have got some business sorted beforehand.

Not everyone. Some of us knew there were 37 games to go and losing to Hull didn’t mean we were going to be relegated like others on here

It’s just more that it seems to have rumbled on for a while, a lot of people questioned the fee and length of contract. Which suggests we may have not got the best deal that we could have if it was done earlier.

It’s great signing for us and the experience we need at the back, but maybe if it was done in July it may have worked out cheaper.

Dare I say it(without being shot down by every fan here) but the Rushworth saga could have massively distracted us. Everyone wanted him, no doubt about that, brilliant keeper and great future prospect, but at what cost? Were we blinkered as a club? Lots of resource and cost spent on getting a keeper, which could have been spent elsewhere.

Hard to say right now if it was worth the effort, obviously i hope it was, but I can't help but feel like we potentially could have strengthend multiple areas of the pitch.

We could have gone for Tzolakis spent half the amount and nipped the entire saga in the bud.
