Don’t think Cherif and BTA are unstoppable at all? I expect Awoniyi will get a start soon enough. And I assume BTA is only playing because of whatever is going on which the frenchies

I think he genuinely sees Cherif as his best striker. BTA like Sakamoto is there because he’s prioritising defensive ability over attacking in the wingers IMO. I’m hoping he stops doing that but I’m not holding my breath.

I don’t know, without the red card I think Awoniyi would have been the clear 1st choice for the foreseeable.

How is Simms a better striker on paper than Awoniyi? Or KKH better than MVE? Do you know what “on paper” means?
Yeah that's fair, "on paper" probably the wrong phrase to use.

KKH over MVE purely because MVE hasn't been good. And Simms/ Awoniyi / Cherif is a toss up, all have shown promise but also have had bad moments.

5-3-2. Forget the wingers. Frank played this after a few weeks in the job, and it started our rise up the league.
2 DMs (Onekya & Yirrenkyi, Eccles as cover) then a more creative player (Torp or Hamer, maybe Rudoni)

So you're starting Latibeaudiere? In the PL?

Be interested to see if an Onyeka / Yirenyki midfield pairing would stop allowing the opposition acres of space outside the box.

Inability to stop / get out to / block / anticipate the pull back is infuriating.

There is no way they are worse, I just cant see it. We need to get these players on the pitch and let them form some sort of understanding. And in CM an Onyeka type would offer so much more than Grimes as Grimes simply can't Grimes at this level.
Fear factor seems to be playing a part think he attempted an effort on goal on Saturday but ell it contrast that with his goal at Swansea last year.

Hope so I’m just not sure. Cherif BTA Grimes Rudi seem undroppable. The back line seems settled. Maybe Saka for a RW. Maybe a Yirenkyi for Onyeka but again I can see why he’d stick with those. All depends on training this week I guess. I’m hoping the wingers and a CM can give him something to think about.
Pretty sure Cherif has only been starting since Newcastle.
