Rushworth
MvE Thomas Mfuni Dasilva
Yirenkyi Torp Onyeka
Gboho Rudoni
Cherif

Although I think that'd be the best available to us I'd still expect that team to lose.

I also expect FL will play Pinnock and Grimes (as well as possibly EMC) so 0-3 or 0-4.

the only possible change would be Tats for Tchouna if MVE plays, see if the magic on the right from last year can be re-created?

Clearly want a win but seems as we dont do cleansheets or goals, a point would be fantastic. More likely we'll make '3 goals in 50 games', Liam Delap look like a worldbeater and therefore the reality is 0-2 reverse.

You cannot play Yirenkyi with Onyeka. Thats a disaster as neither are disciplined enough. Grimes has to play on Saturday but it may be Hamer or Eccles has to play that no.6 role if Grimes regresses . Its one of Torp Yirenkyi or Onyeka next to Grimes and id go with Torp. Yirenkyi pulled out of a challenge that led to the corner they got the 2nd goal from .
I can see potential in him but Torp has earned the shirt for now

Tchounma looked awful when he came on for Sakamoto. Sakamoto not looking great and i can see why Lampard put Rudoni on thr right as he must be seething but i think we have to go with Sakamoto to allow Rudoni to play at no.10.

Sakamoto will not be starting in the Prem, he's not good enough. People will accept this soon but its taking a while.

What have u seen in Tchoumna to suggest he is better than Sakamoto? Im not disagreeing with u about Sakamoto...but we have a choice of 2 at RW as surely we arent wasting Rudoni out there?

I admit its grasping but everything is grasping atm, I'm looking at small things I like and its the stuff I've been saying all along. He's stronger, he's quicker, he's better at getting a shot off. He just looks more comfortable at the level. Sakamoto gets absolutely swallowed up.

We are going to have to disagree. Eccles is injured so irrelevant and definitely not PL standard anyway; not sure what Hamer is but he's definitely not a 6, and we simply can't play Grimes. I'm not a big fan of Torp but he played the role with much more energy, speed and precision. We dont need a double pivot with 3 at the back so we need legs in central midfield and thats why I'd have Yirencki and Onyeka as the two 8's.
 
Sakamoto wins us free kicks and with Torp on the pitch that combination seems to be the best chance we have of scoring in the prem at the moment.
 
Sakamoto had the worst game I've seen him play for us last night, but I've not been convinced by Tchouma yet either and have a feeling that if MVE isn't injured that FL will go for the Sakamoto/ MVE combination on the right side on Saturday. The position I'm really not sure who we will go with though is up front. If it were me I think I'd go for Cherif, but I have a nagging feeling that we will start with Simms, possibly even BTA. In sillier moments I've even thought whether he might try something completely out of the box, like playing none of the potential forwards at all, and instead playing Rudoni as a 'false 9' :ROFLMAO:

Providing all are available I think the starting team will be:

MVE/ Thomas/ Pinnock/ JDS
Onyeka/ Grimes
Sakamoto/ Rudoni/ EMC
Simms
 
Parking to the south of the city ground on saturday. Anyone been before know any away pubs near ground?

Other than the usual Meadow Lane.

Onyeka is horrible with the ball. I find it quite weird how Grimes has become the fall guy when Onyeka has been atrocious so far this season.

His inability to even get near players is our biggest issue. We are playing with a gaping hole in the middle.

He isnt getting on the ball and playing simple passes they are all long hoofs.

Hes meant to be our captain and the one to calm us down.

Yet somehow had made the 28th most passes in the entire league this season, Anderson, Rice, Gross, Fernandes, Szoboszlai, Xhaka, Mainoo and Tonali the midfielders to have made more.

All our play is forced with him, its hardly that shocking.

I'd consider going 4-5-1 and leaving Rudi out. Yirenkyi, Onyeka, Gboho and Tchaouna are locks for me, then you either add Torp who did a solid job interchanging with Yireknyi to be the player to drop deeper and pick up the ball in the Grimes role last night, or bench Torp and keep Rudi.

If we weren't so scared of being positive, I can easily see Tchaouna, and Gboho joining in to help Cherif out and would rather pack the middle of the park than have Rudi chasing shadows again.
