Amenda injury (7 Viewers)

Without being funny although this seems an incredible crises we can’t recover from he’s been in the central defence that has conceded 10 goals in 4 games

He's looked the best of our CBs so far wouldn't you say?

I don’t think we are selling him for £50 million as claimed on here from what I’ve seen.

it’s a bit like saying Clinton Morrison was better than Leon McKenzie or Kevin Kyle

If true and Milan is also 6 weeks then I genuinely cant see us getting anything until November. And by then if you're on 0 points you may aswell just fucking not bother
We will have to go with wing backs and Sakamoto RWB purely on the basis he has played that position before as we did sign him originally as a player who can play there. What a fucking nightmare this season is going to be.

If he is out for 6 weeks it’s probably 2 games

No. Thomas has. Amenda at fault for 1st goal v Arsenal for diving in, at fault for 2nd v Brighton as well. Played his best game against Plymouths reserves.
I think he is a good signing but he isnt a LCB. It should have been him v Thomas for RCB. Problem is we have fucked up lCB so badly we have been trying to fit him in there.
Losing him is a disaster though.

I think he'd get sold for a fair bit more than what we paid. The alternatives to him are clearly unfortunate, you're looking at Thomas/Pinnock in a 4, or Thomas/Pinnock/Mfuni in a 5 with Lati as first reserve.

Pinnock's best days are clearly behind him, Mfuni looks talented but naive, and Thomas has been unconvincing.

Vs Forest.

RWB - fuck knows , Saka/Yireneki/Hamer/Tchauna?

Centre backs
Thomas, Pinnock, Munich

LWB
JDS

Absolutely typical KKH is injured too. Hes been waiting for a year and when it comes, he's out too

I know you just couldn't make it up could you, it's been like it for many many seasons, we are jinxed.

He was very poor against Brighton, and looked shaky last night before his injury. He did look good against Monaco pre season, but then again so did a lot of the team that are now lacking confidence and under performing. I still wish he was available though, as he definitely looks like he could be a top player, and there are no better alternatives.

That's plainly not true: he's head and shoulders (literally as well as figuratively) above anyone else we have in the position, and clearly has all the attributes to be a top end centre-half.

He's come into a team that's experiencing disorganisation, and that's not going to help him look good.

Of course it's a big blow but I think the point G is making is that it's not like we have been defensively solid and now this is going to ruin everything.

Hes just posted this on insta:

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me; my heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him

I admire your optimism, but FL's got the look of someone who doesn't know what to do next.
FL does look like he has got the worries of the World on his shoulders🤔

SImilar to MR's demeanour in the final weeks of his reign. Sincerely hope it doesn't end the same way. It's taken a shockingly short time for things to go pear-shaped. For what it's worth, I'd like to see Frank given the full contract term.

No chance he'll get that. King dismissed Robins, after a poor start to a season, despite starting equally badly in previous seasons. If we lose to Forest, and Newcastle 3 weeks later, I think Frank will be on borrowed time. There's some good, experienced managers out there without a club.

King owes Lampard to a massive extent, Lampard got the team way beyond expectations last season.
