I have never really rated Kitching. Yes he has improved since he has been here, he has grown up a bit as well. He has been part of our success and he deserves credit for that, but I have always felt he has had too many weaknesses. Bobby Thomas has dug him out of a hole on many occasions.

I don’t think I have ever really sung his praises so my timeline hasn’t changed. It does with some players, EMC last season was a different player at the end of the season to how he was at the beginning. EMC has to probably replicate the same sort of progress again this year now we are in the Prem.

Amenda is a great signing, him and Bobby the club can make profits on. Pinnock will hopefully see his career out with us. Mfuni quality loan who offers versatility. You need four good options at this level.

I imagine around that time. The telegraph article on Bobby the other day said "The more experienced Joel Latibeaudiere is the only other option at the manager’s disposal given that Aurele Amenda is out until Christmas, also with a calf injury."

Given how well Bobby, Pinnock, and Mfuni have all played I doubt he would be rushed back if they are fit and in the same form as recent.

Perhaps he could make his return against Leicester in the FA Cup (providing they can get into the 3rd round). On Friday we are at Everton’s 50k + new stadium whilst they are away to non-league Oxford City on an astro pitch
