Deserves his own thread.

Looks like this is progressing fast now.

t's true, what @Plettigoal reports. The departure of #Amenda towards Coventry City has been taking shape for quite some time now. Coach Frank Lampard is a big fan of the center-back. Amenda joined in 2024 for the base fee of nine million euros, with bonuses the total should have flowed to Bern up to 12 million euros. All-in, Coventry should transfer at least 20 million euros to #SGE #Eintracht. The upheaval primarily affects the defense...

Played in the champions league last season as well for them,

Some fans describe him as a beast and a good long range passer.

🧾 Club / official transfer scouting profile (Eintracht Frankfurt)

From Eintracht’s own announcement and sporting director comments:

  • “Hochtalentierter Spieler” (highly talented player)
  • Fast + very strong in aerial duels
  • Good ball-playing ability for build-up
  • Can play right or left centre-back
  • Described as fitting both defensive solidity and possession play

Source scouting summary: Eintracht highlight him as a modern, physically dominant defender with technical upside

📊 Tactical scout-style analysis (German football media)

1. Defensive dominance & aerial strength

  • Among the top U23 centre-backs in Europe for defensive aerial duels (~81.8% win rate)
  • Described as a “Kopfballungeheuer” (aerial monster)
  • Elite timing and strength in own box defending

👉 This is his biggest “scout standout trait”

2. Physical profile (core identity)

  • ~1.97m tall
  • Strong frame, hard to move off the ball
  • Wins most duels through positioning + power rather than speed
  • Labelled as a “defensive tower / Abwehrkante” in scouting language

3. Technical & tactical profile

Scouts consistently note:

  • Calm under pressure in build-up
  • Plays simple, low-risk passing
  • Still developing:
    • timing of stepping out
    • consistency over 90 minutes
    • acceleration in transition defending

⚖️ Overall “scout conclusion”

If you combine the reports, the consensus profile is:

Modern aerially elite centre-back with strong defensive fundamentals, good passing base, but still developing consistency and top-level reading of the game.

I want to hear Frankfurt fans reactions before i form an opinion

Gave a couple good couple mid comments for balance

Seen some fans of PL clubs suggest its a good signing

Just realised they have re translated back to german 😂 one said he was slow but otherwise ok , the other cant remember 🤣

Looks and sounds a very good prospect with a high upside in both ability and value.Seems to tick a lot of boxes. I know it's just a highlights package, but he seems to have the passing range Hoddle would have been proud of. Very quick and looks a physical specimen.
Better to take your time and get the right types than just splash the cash Willy nilly, just to satisfy fans insatiable demands for new signings. King's track record so far suggests he gets most things right.

If Florian Plettenberg is reporting it this is pretty much done

Looks a really good player, loves a long cross field pass and physical too, if Plettenberg is reporting it then it's probably nearly or already done

On the face of it sounds like what we need. Replaces kitching / Lati presumably. So this guy and thomas are first choices. Of the other three CB's i would love to be shot of Woolfie, but suspect one of the other two might be more saleable.

We'll be doing a lot of defending so maybe keep all 5

He's still young, with plenty of potential, and is an absolute unit in the air.

He's also very slow and joins a position group that is very slow. Unless we're planning on playing a brutal low block or sticking him at middle CB in a back 5, I do worry about our lack of speed at the back.

Hoping he’s the first of two tbh

Same. Get Mbokazi the South African CB who's like 5'10 and we can have a little and large CB duo that the footy banter pages will love.

If you think I'm a buzzkill then definitely don't watch the highlights of Frankfurt 1-5 Liverpool from this year's Champions League.

Because ho boy they are ROUGH.
I don't know where you got 'very slow' from? It's not his top asset given his enormous size but appears to just be average. In fact I checked his top speed vs each Sunderland CB individually (as they appear to be the barometer on here) and he came out on top against all of them.

Sure , he will have had bad games at 22 years old .

He was poor for 2 possibly 3 goals btw

Remember when villa beat liverpool 7-2
That virgil van dijk was shite eh

it's a good job scouts don't base their reports on one game against one of the best sides in Europe then isn't it

I'm not claiming one game defines his entire career - just saying that it was a bit of a buzzkiller watching it back. Christ.
