New Vice Captain

Unless I have missed it, we haven't announced a new vice captain since Kitching left on loan. I know some clubs do not formally announce Vice Captains anymore but still have a pecking order.

If Grimes doesn't play or comes off, who do we think will take the captains armband?

I can not think of anyone who is a guarantee in the team who also strikes me as a captain.

Bobby Thomas (not guaranteed a place with Pinnock and Amenda)
Pinnock (Same as BT)
Amenda (Getting used to English football but maybe one for the future if we keep him)
Yirenkyi (Same as Amenda)
Onyeka (Does he have leadership qualities)
JDS and MVE (not captaincy material)
Rudoni and EMC(Doesn't strike me as a captain)
Tchou (Not a captain)
Rushworth (Don't like a keeper captain)
Hamer (Not guaranteed to start)
Awoniyi (Doesn't strike me as captaincy material)

I would suggest the above are the ones in and around the first team

Eccles and Lati both have captained before but wouldn't want them starting

The rest I don't think are either guaranteed in the first team picture or captaincy material

Just don't think Bidwell gets into the squad unless there are injuries to be fair. I agree that he would probably be high up on leaders though

Some interesting comments firm Mfuni post match calling DaSilva his mentor and someone he is learning from. That sounds like a leadership role to me.

irony is he's the one thats made the more seemless step up. Fair play to him - not many, myself included expected that one. Glad to see Rudoni starting to step up aswell. Thought he played well against Forest and Newcastle.

It's great to hear pundits talk up our players. I know football is fickle and if we suffer another 4 back to back losses we won't get the raving reviews, but I am enjoying it whilst it lasts and will enjoy every part of this season, even if it might be frustrating at times
