Not happening is it? We’ve set a wage cap at almost half the average wage of the division and King has been bollocksing on about how we don’t need to spend since the second we got promoted. He clearly thinks he can do it on the cheap. And maybe with a scouting network that doesn’t think data is the guy from Star Trek we could but not with someone who’s entire process is looking in his mobile and checking the Championship teams’ PotS award listings.

Hope I look stupid and we sign a load in the next fortnight who look the part and stay up but right now all the evidence points the other way and “wait and see” is looking more delusional by the minute.

Is this exciting? Yes. Is it a phenomenal signing? Yes. Does he keep us up on his own? No

The signings so far have been very good, no disputing. But we are still glaringly short at Left back, striker, and 1 injury away from playing Kitching or Lati in the premier league.

Its looking better of course, but we absolutely must get a left back and striker in of similar quality, only then will I and the other 'bedwetters" feel we will be ok

Id like to think not. But we also sold our captain the day before deadline day last summer and didnt replace him which almost bit us in the arse when the illness kicked in in December Jan until Onyekas arrival

My personal opinion is we drop another 15/20 million on a striker and a left back

We then use the loan market for another CB. Bring Hamer in for 6 or 7 million, but that money will be mostly made of outgoings i feel

Not sure that's entirely true, from scanning I can find one comment that said it was a dissatisfying summer window if we didn't get the players in. Arguably right with Sheaf leaving and no one replacing him, but rectified in January.

Last season is quite a substantial piece of evidence for why we should all give King and Austin the trust they have earned. Not just continually insinuate King is tight, or they're naive and think the existing team is fine.

That sale happened to be quite vital in the end as it allowed us to have the funds to sign the players in January that got us over the line. Without selling Sheaf we may not have been able to afford Onyeka's / Esse's wages, any loan fees, etc.

It’s looking like the window some predicted is playing out. 3-4 significant signings on top of Onyeka and Rushworth. I think we’ll sign a good left back to go with Tchouana, Amenda and Yirenkyi. CovValleyBoy and I have been saying it for a while.
