We were all told the journey is better than the destination....

This is a tough question.

On the one hand, being in the Prem again shows how far this club has come and so far away from the doldrums that it was. Everyone knew going into this season that it would be a struggle to gain a foothold and really make a go of it. Transfer wise we brought in some good, young talent but yes I think it would have been a bit more prudent to bring in some more Prem proven players or more veteran players in general.

I don't want us to become another yo-yo club like a Burnley or an Ipswich now, but I also understand where some fans got more joy from seeing us in the Championship.

At the end of the day though, I want us to compete at the highest point we can and hopefully we can do enough to stay up this season and have a bit more joy along the way.

I agree - the chase to get there and when you are either close (playoffs) or do it is a million times better than being there. And I totally agree with @Saddlebrains original post - all the things I hate about the prem. it’s not the best league in the world.

Maybe we’d feel differently if we were winning more than losing?

TBH my biggest issue is that score board! Keep the team sheet up there! Show highlights when needed.

I don't know half of these prem players we are playing against and would be great to put names to numbers! knowing who's on a yellow card etc!

Chin up fellas. I'm sure there were Brighton, Brentford and Forest fans saying the same stuff about the Championship being better and what not but look at them now. Doubt any of them are in a hurry to get back.

The journey isnt over yet, we havent reached our destination this is just a stop along the way, sometimes we might have to go back to go forwards but Im on long haul CTID

If It was guaranteed you come straight back up the fall would be ok but a lot of teams don’t go straight back.

I remember when we were in the premier before, long seasons of mediocrity, interspersed with relegation fights. The occasional win against the big boys. I'm sure one season under Don Howe we had five 0-0 draws in a row although I may have imagined that.
For me it was all about the journey back and that was completed last season which was the best season I can really remember as a cov fan.
That's why I'd like to give the championship players a go, I think they earned it and this season is a free hit for me. Obviously if they havent adapted to the premier and there is no improvement in the next 4 games they've had their chance though.
If we do go down we can bounce back up with the squad we have. I still think we can stay up though, the table is so tight at the moment a couple of wins on the bounce and it all changes.
As for the premier, it's definitely a lot more sycophantic to the top teams and the analysis really is done to death. Take bournemouths win over man utd at the weekend. No talk about bournemouth, endless debate over man utd, even though they have been crap fpr a decade.

If we go down watch our team get stripped.
we will struggle in the champ that won't be fun.
Just enjoy it for what it is as we might not be here for another 20odd years.

The bigger worry is we don’t get stripped tbh.

I could cope with losing a few but our wage bill is controlled and there will be clauses in the contracts and we get parachute payments, I can see us losing Rudi, Bobby, Cherif, Yirenkyi which would bring in 80-100m easy I reckon

This is it. If we lose a load it means bigger teams want them and we’ll get well compensated and can buy a top tier championship squad which we can pay with parachute payments. I’m actually quite looking forward to it!
