Match Thread Everton vs Coventry City (A) - Hill Dickinson Stadium - Fri 6th November (8pm KO) (21 Viewers)

Not if we keep giving up such cheap goals.

Could have easily had a point at spurs.
Could have easily had a point here.

It is this type of thing that is the difference between staying up and going down
We could easily have drawn at Forest in fairness so it works both ways.

Theres nothing wrong with his positioning. The ball has to hit a mark about one foot wide to beat him and it does.
There shouldn’t be a gap to hit. If he’s a foot closer to the post it’s not a goal, it hits him even if he can’t get his hands too it.

I know you’re new here…But JDS has been player of the season so far.
He was not good today. Might’ve been good at other games. Plus I’m not new here

They didnt deserve that. 3-1 flattered them. But we cant keep making stupid mistakes like we do every week. Poor defending every week, Rushworth looks half the keeper he was last season. Lampards subs and decision making is fucking laughable at times.

Dissapointing to lose but in happy with the performance and optimistic for rest of the season

Gboho looks really good. Yirenki is consistent. Cbs look strong. Taiwo had dangerous moments. Rudoni plays with confidence.

Poor game for the full backs and not sure why lampard didn't change things towards end.

We were hard done by at same time I do remember them relaxing the hair pull rules and if not being bias there isn't conclusive evidence he handballed it imo. The taiwo one was a pen however even if soft. Looked on box to me

Still overall a pleasing oetofrmsnce. We no longer play like a team punching above weight and look like we belong . Still lots of improvement to come though I'm sureheres to some good results Vs a our rivals this weekend and go into intl break outside the relegation zone. Then bring on palace where hopefully we show them we are here to stay

Pusb

Played well for an hour, too much panic from some of our players when they have more time than they realise, some positives but we need to be more resilient.

Let's not lose our shit, that scoreline flattered them, on another night one or two decisions go the other way and we get a result.

We showed tonight we belong in this league

No Wright, no Thomas, no Onyeka. And yet we were a competitive team away from home.

Annoyed at the result today.

Scoreline flatters them as a couple of ours have been but thought the players did decent.

VAR is diabolical. It’s there to make sure the right decisions happen. If they don’t, what’s the point of it. Doesn’t help the refs are shite in this league like all English leagues.

Lampard for me needs to react quicker. They bring on three subs to inject energy and we only bring on BTA until it’s 4-1? Too little too late.

Better decision making at key times we win that even with the VAR decisions, Big T playing in Ghobo, Sakamoto being a bit more composed when he shoots straight at the keeper etc. Mostly happy with that, fought hard just lacking a bit of quality.
