Yes because it’s poor positioning. If he’s closer to the post there is no gap. Keepers get taught that at U11’s. It’s the only place he can be beaten from that angle.

Theres nothing wrong with his positioning. The ball has to hit a mark about one foot wide to beat him and it does.

Hard game to sum up really. It felt almost too comfortable when we took the lead but we crumbled under the most miniscule amount of pressure, JDS, Sakamoto and particularly Rushworth just not helping us at all. I do have to say though, we've been absolutely fucked by VAR, I think its disgraceful honestly.

Are you genuinely suggesting we play Bentley or Wilson? At best you'd be looking at only being able to make a change in January and I can't see much chance of King signing off on that after spending £22m on Rushworth.

We know he's better than this, we have to trust that the coaches, both on the footballing side and potentially on the mental side, can work out what is going on and get it sorted.

I like Rushworth and I hope he gets it sorted out as you say. But if he continues making errors leading to goals then you would have to make a change and if that means playing Bentley then so be it. Obviously I hope it doesn’t come to that but we’re 10 games in and I haven’t seen any signs of Rushworth improving from his early season poor form

The way VAR went for us it was never going to be our night.

There’s plenty of positives tonight.

Caleb is growing as a player in each game.

Gboho was great. Need to get his fitness up to last longer.

Rudoni was decent.

MVE and JDS not a great game. JDS in particular. MVE allowing crosses in and JDS can’t mark Barry at all for both goals.
