Yep went to that game as a kid was genuinely scared when we equalised haha. The whole ground was shaking when they scored their goal too - Gareth Farrelly I believe?

Think Dion's goal gave him joint golden boot too.

When the final whistle pitch invasion started I remember wondering if it was going to kick off, but it ended with both sets of fans applauding each other.

[stupot07]

Stuart Attwell is the ref for this

From Nuneaton isn't he? I am shocked they have allowed that

Luton fan

I was sitting on the rightmost seat of our fans so Everton fans were only 2 metres away from us. If we had sent them day I probably wouldn’t be writing this now. They were vile and baying for blood.

Pretty sure everyone got tickets when released as we thought we would need something to stay up but by match day we were safe. So we were relaxed and having a laugh and walked into a right cauldron.

But even after the final whistle, there was that pitch invasion and they all came over. I was still thinking is this all going to kick off, but thankfully it was all smiles and chants. Lots of hugs from random Evertonians on the walk back to the coach. I remember thinking these same people would have killed me if they lost

I would be delighted with a draw, but I have a sneaky feeling we're going to come away with a late winner in a scrappy game

So same starting 11 as last week or does Frank put 5 across the back by adding Thomas and Bring grimes in. Personally I would like to see the same starting 11 as last week

So 6 across the back if Grimes starts. Brilliant.

Park the bus

Park the bus

They've scored 4 in their last 6 games. Would rather we just park a small hatchback and try and get at them.

Take out the Leicester rat and we have a chance. Give him the space to start pulling the strings and we are in trouble

[Sky Blue Goblin]

Definitely a touch defensive but feel with how direct they are, more bodies in the box especially Bobby would be a big help.

If Bobby isn’t fit, same squad as Sunderland

He shouldn’t and surely won’t drop Sakamoto after last week. I’d sooner drop Gboho

Don't park anything.. we're best going forward. Forget the turf we're playing on!

[Briles]

If we play on the front foot we could outscore them. If we go defensive we will lose to nil.

Is that the one in 1998? I took my Everton supporting mate for his birthday, we were in Everton seats. I was on the pitch with them at the end. I remember it all being very good natured.

I thought both sets of fans were on the pitch together, but I may have a rose tinted memory of it

[Travs]

I'd be ecstatic with anything from tonight, but unfortunately don't see anything other than a loss (although i don't think it'll be a thrashing).

Then all eyes on the Palace match which we really should be all out for a win, a la Sunderland.

The other thing, I hope we start learning with the long throws dont bunch everyone in the box half the time they dont make it, keep one short, put 2/3 mid range then the rest in and around the box so we have options and also the ability to stop the counter

Keep Torp on the edge of the box for any clearances

Keep Torp on the edge of the box for any clearances

Pull Saka or Jay short depending on which side, and have the other sat back as last man

[SomersetSB]

2-1 win, nothing to fear here.

[Nick]

I hope we don't try and sit back and invite pressure and draft BTA in just to try and defend from the front with Grimes behind the back 2.

[Skybluedogwood]

Same as Sunderland for me. They attack wide rather than centrally, we can cope with that and need to retain an effective threat on the counter.

[SleepyGinger]

I think it will be the same team but BTA in for Gboho

[shmmeee]

Gives you two left footers though and Saka isn’t as effective in the ten or away

Most absurd comment of the day

So he brings Onyeka in for Gboho but then puts Mfuni in Gboho's place? Where is Onyeka playing in this magical formation?

[Skybluedogwood]

I think it will be the same team but BTA in for Gboho

Hope not!

[stevefloyd]

My favourite one was a game where ndlovu ran the length of the pitch and scored just before half time. It ended 1-1 and for the whole of half time the fans were singing Sky blue army - was so much fun

You need to get out more Pete

[clint van damme]

Fucks sake, 55 miles to go, 2 hours! Good old M6

[stevefloyd]

If we want to start imposing ourselves on teams more Asante cannot start. Not for a want of trying, but just not technically good enough.

We were seeing the game out against Scumderland and that fucking idiot starts flicking the ball and doing overhead kicks !

[stevefloyd]

Who Da Silva?

[Hobo]

I would start the same team that started last week. They deserve the opportunity to prove they can do it consistently.

[Covkid1968#]

Just gone past the coaches on the M6. Thought I might get some shit as got a big Everton sticker in the window.

[coop]

I think it will be the same team but BTA in for Gboho

Fucking hope not that cameo performance against Sunderland was awful.

[Liquid Gold]

Actually feeling pretty positive about this one for some reason

History has us with the advantage but that was about 25 years back, starting anew.
