Match Thread Everton vs Coventry City (A) - Hill Dickinson Stadium - Fri 6th November (8pm KO) (13 Viewers)

I was just going to post this.

The situation with the trains is a disgrace - one small local station ( Sandhills ) to serve everyone going to the ground from both directions, means that the trains end up like cattle trucks. ( the council were supposed to build a brand new purpose built station as part of the new ground development, but as always with local government, it failed to materialise )

What a good portion of fans do, home and away, is have a pint in and around the Dale Street end of the city centre ( loads of historic old proper pubs ), which is the end of the city closest to the ground and walk - about 20 mins.

However with it being a Friday evening ko, it`d pretty much mean leaving mid afternoon at the latest.

You can`t get near the ground in a car either, as all the roads around it, are closed off too.

It`s the exact same for all the fans, home and away.
Going to meet my Evertonian family and mates in The Bridwell and then go to the ground. The blue nose that is the wife is being unbearable in the lead up to this…I’m in the home end and she’s threatening to tell the stewards if I even clap my hands. 😎😎

Looks like a 30 minute walk from city centre so probably best to park at Liverpool One and walk rather than trying to get local trains or park nearer the ground

Bobby will be desperate to play - isn’t he an Evertonian?
Probably will be rested as the International break coming up should allow him to properly rest his injury.

I've booked a parking space 15 mins walk from the ground but hear there are transport issues. Can anyone advise here please?

They’re professional athletes, the extra rest means absolutely nothing and will make no difference.
And the thing with top level professional athletes is that the tiniest of advantages can make the difference. That's why they spend fortunes on recovery, sports science, psychologists etc. just to get that extra 0.1-0.2%

Dropping Saka is like cutting off one of MVE’s legs
im invincible monty python GIF

Absolutely no point pumping it up in the air against these. That Branthwaite will be an England centre back soon imo.

There`s roadworks near to the ground, but if you use your sat nav, it should take you around them to your parking spot.

Good choice of pub, food is decent in there too.

How did Everton look vs Newcastle? Didn’t catch the game

Be careful everyone……oh I think I’ve been watching too much ‘ This City is Ours ‘ 😀
A couple more wins and we start climbing the lowest Premier league points of all time league. I think 18 points gets us out the top 6.
Play more flamboyantly like Saturday and against Newcastle and we could surprise these. Sit back and try and defend for too long and we’ll lose. Go for it Frank !

When you look at all the money they’ve wasted, I can’t believe Man Utd didn’t break the bank for him in the summer.
Well it's obvious.

Attackers... last summer.

Midfielders... this summer.

Defenders... next summer.

Although... at this rate... they'll have more chance going for Kitching, Woolfenden & Lati than Branthwaite!

Its closer to a 45-min walk and a bloody expensive car park on match days as they bump the price up.

Should be going for the win on Friday.

When you're playing a team whos best player is Kiernan Fucking Dewsbury-Hall, then every team should be looking for 3 points!!

Tbf their best player is probably Grealish, hopefully hes still in the doghouse Friday

TBF Hall, Garner and Branthwaite are probably better than anything we've got but as for the rest , I wouldn't swap any of them. I think we get a win there .
