Off to Mexico next Feb for my big birthday.

Cancuun/PDC/RM area? If so do Coba. Best of the ruins to visit. When we went we could climb it but I’m not sure if that’s still the case now.

To complete the Baltic trio, went to Vilnius in February a few years back.

It was positively Dickensian. Asked the taxi driver if it had been snowing long.

"About three months" he replied.

Lovely place, but fucking cold in the winter.

If you like that area of the world, then Google 'Baltic chain'. Truly remarkable.

Vilnius is the coldest place I’ve ever been. First visit resembled the scene in the airport in Cool Runnings where they put all their clothes on pretty much as soon as the plane door opened. Nice place. Riga was worth a visit too and so was Kaliningrad although I wouldn’t recommend that now! Doing Tallinn in October when we do Finland away in October.

Away in Malaga at the moment flying back ready for the Oxford game. What a stunning City though, so clean, bars, restaurants shops all mixing together. The Market with tapas bars, museums, harbourside and a big long clean beach. One of my favourite Cities I've ever visited.

We had an identical shirt to them in 2016/17

Went to one of their games on my stag do, the football was incredibly dull especially with zero away fans and no atmosphere. Fan park beforehand was good though..

Can recommend Wroclaw too.

My partner has family in Wroclaw, so I'm trying to avoid going for as long as possible. It looks lovely and proper up my street with all the weird little things it has, like the little gnomes dotted around the city.

Pritty close with the pronunciation, Its Vrot-swaf. There's some pritty simple things you can swap around and it makes the language so much easier to use.

None at all, we've had a few meals near the train station, while waiting for trains but they're nothing to write home about, We tend to get the train into Poznan from Gdynia spend the day there sightseeing etc, then get to the train to Jarocin to visit her grandparents, so I've never stayed overnight in Poznan or had a proper nice meal there.

Tallin's my ancestral home, and as a citizen of Estonia, I have to say it'd be my choice

Looking at going to Florence in February and wondered if anyone had any experience of watching Serie A? I am presuming it should be easy enough to get a ticket for Fiorentina matches (unless they're playing Juventus etc) but what's it like as an experience? I went to AC Milan vs Verona years ago & bought tickets on the day from a kiosk outside the San Siro. There were loads of touts, who all seemed to be pensioners trying to sell me tickets as soon as we got to the stadium. They used to keep tickets back to sell on the day as a way of trying to beat the touts

We went to watch Bologna a few years ago and it was pretty good. Pyro and bouncies from the away fans and home fans behind the goal, the rest was normal.

I think Palermo's ground is overlooked by mountains and there are a few others that look interesting, such as Venezia. It's a shame that most seem to have a running track round them and very rarely get redeveloped but i would like to experience a game out there.

The most incredible game I went to was the 1999/2000 title decider between Perugia & Juventus, Juventus needed a point to win the title. What a beautiful place Perugia is? I bought 2 tickets from an aftermarket site for about £190 not knowing where in the ground we would be. My girlfriend wanted to wear a Juventus shirt but I convinced her that we might not be with Juventus fans and we ended up at the end with the Perugia ultras, tickets were about £8 each!! The Juventus fans were to the right of us and there were constantly things being thrown at them, even some rockets. It started off a beautiful sunny day but with the game playing it started to rain and by half time it was torrential. It was 0-0 at half time and as the rain continued the 2nd half was delayed. It finally stopped raining and Pierluigi Collina decided the pitch was playable after about an hour but it really wasn't, the ball would get stopped in puddles all over the pitch. By this time we had heard that Lazio had won so Juventus needed a point to win the title but it was almost impossible to play. Perugia scored & Juventus had a few chances to equalise and weren't helped by Conte getting sent off. By the end there were Perugia fans alongside the pitch and when Juventus got a corner del Pierro could only take a couple of steps before crossing the ball. The game ended 1-0 and when we left the ground we had to walk through rivers of water and the cars in the car park next to the ground were all sitting in a couple of feet of water. I thought there may be trouble after the game but there was nothing as the fans left the ground side by side.

On hols in Tenerife at the moment and came across another city fan at the hotel. In years gone by you'd rarely see another cov fan out side of cov. The fan base is definitely growing.

I used to go and watch Palermo every now and then and they’re probably my favourite Italian team. The Sicilian derby is insane.

I've always liked the Palermo kits, get the impression they've suffered from terrible ownership over the years (not exactly unique in Italy) and they had an absolutely fantastic team on one of the FM games, Caracciolo, Grosso, Barzagli sort of era i think it was.

I've always liked the Palermo kits, get the impression they've suffered from terrible ownership over the years (not exactly unique in Italy) and they had an absolutely fantastic team on one of the FM games, Caracciolo, Grosso, Barzagli sort of era i think it was.

I really like Palermo and it’s one of my favourite Italian cities and there’s plenty to see in the city. Catania is ok and it’s more walkable and compact but there’s less to do in the city. As with all large towns and cities in the south and Sicily, they’re chaotic and not the cleanest.

If you’re looking for things to do in the surrounding area and not just in the city, Catania is probably the better of the two and you can also go up Etna, which is fantastic. There are excellent transport links (cheap, regular buses) from Catania airport and the main city station across the whole island.

I expect to see Palermo back in Serie A within the next few seasons.

We both instantly knew that the other was a ST holder.

Cheers for the info mate, i havent been to Sicily but it's certainly on the list and pretty high up it. If your mate has much of note to say about the Fiorentina games that'd be great to know too.

Fucking BA have cancelled my flight home.

All they did was send a text and say look on the website for another flight. Website shows all flights fully booked until later in the week.

So I’ve had to fork out nearly £600 with another airline and won’t be home, if all goes well as I’m no longer flying direct, until about 1am when I have work on Tuesday.

Knew it was all going too well.
