The club have never been ruthless enough and it’s felt like a charity at times. We held onto sheaf who was always injured, for to long and sold for less than what we rumoured could have got at one point. We let COH leave on a free after rehabbing him for a year. Fast forward to today and we still have alot of players that I wouldn’t trust in the championship let alone prem. The advantage we’ve got is it’s a ‘championship winning squad’ so we should be playing on that.

We needed a positive start in the prem which hasn’t happened. Doesn’t help the club leave everything till last minute and have new signings that aren’t fit. Quite clear Lampard doesn’t fancy Simms and could have done with something off the bench today to replace Awoniyi, which could have been our new 20 something million pound forward Cherif, who’s apparently not fit.

Our recruitment can be strange sometimes.

As soon as Boro sold Hackney, West ham sold Fernandes or Wolves sold Joao Gomes we should have offered them Grimes

If you told me we could sign two more players now in any position I'm genuinely not sure I could tell you which two I'd want. Holes all over the pitch.

We could have had Gyokores up front instead of Awoniyi.

MVE and Tchaouna have zero chemistry.

I suspect that might be because MVE inverts far too much - Tats puts up with constantly having to cover whilst Tchaouna is probably understandably wanting MVE to do some defending for a change. Hopefully Ashley Cole can develop MVE further.
