I wouldn't be confident saying he will be make the step up or not but clearly done well for Birmingham so far in two leagues so whilst I have no issue with people thinking he not good enough to make the step up any talk of him being terrible is just idiotic.

Ive just watched all his goals from last year. I'd say 5 were "tap ins" so no pretending here

I'm not disagreeing with your general point, but you want your striker getting tap-ins. Being there to get them is a big part of being a good striker. It's not an indictment.

It's obviously terrible for a non central striker to get himself into goalscoring positions

As good as Stanfield is in the championship, and as possible it may be for him to step up to PL, I wouldn't pay and trade in with any of our attackers, certainly not BTA who I think is one of the ones who possibly could come good in PL.
Whoever we get in attack, has to be clearly better.

I think if I take my Cov goggles off, Stansfield would definitely have more interest in him and for more money than BTA and Simms, although to me he has huge 'he'll do well for you if you go down' vibes.

What he did point out was that Stansfield spent most of last season not playing in his natural position, a bit like when we played Rudoni on the wing.
