They had a far bigger budget. We were never going to match their spend. They take in more matchday revenue and the had the Bellingham money.

Another £20 million player (central midfielder) should make a difference, but based on what we've seen this season they would just be on the bench behind Grimes anyway.

He's just getting a lot wrong. Even Onyeka, without being outstanding, every time he comes on looks way more comfortable at this level than Grimes does.
Gboho was a highly rated player in France, it was seen as something of coup when we were able to bring him in, yet Frank won't give him a kick.
Frankly I'm struggling to see how KKH would be worse than MvE too. MvE looks absolutely terrified.

Agreed on the last part, he’s someone you want coming on last 20 to sure it up and set up shop and be hard to beat to control the tempo and slow it down after you’ve taken the lead or seeing out a draw

Wasn’t he on his way the the MLS? The fee wasn’t really that high.
