Makes some sense. Mfuni is young and raw but clearly motivated to get forwards. Yirenkyi is a real athlete who can put his foot in so Lamps is relying on his cover power. Trouble is that leaves Grimes central so expect Forest to plough through straight down the middle!

It’s a delicate balance. Lampard spoke before the season about being adaptable which I understand. However he is currently looking like he doesn’t really understand the team identity. Too many different approaches in just 5 games.

Additionally, he is not a scapegoat, but Grimes getting into the team is missing what is clearly there on the pitch.

Would have made a lot more sense to drop Grimes, use Yirenkyi in the central role picking the ball up deep, Tchouna on the right and Rudi at 10.

Let’s hope by some miracle Hrimes can bring some premier quality to the table today, just feels like our whole formation is hamstrung by including him
