Shocking decision in a big game. Refs in this league are beyond dire.
They are, but Gavin Ward is as bad as they get. No business reffing this fixture.

Of course clueless Don Goodman thinks he was right

I would think top refs should take games with so much on them tbh.

cause he fucking is

There's a bit of tusseling but then the attacker pulls the defender off his feet

He's a shite ref but it's a foul

Some staggering details taken from @TeleFootball’s piece on Southampton’s alleged Middlesbrough spying mission…

• The ‘spy’ had professional surveillance equipment, complete with a microphone to record voices and technology to livestream the footage back to someone watching remotely. It is claimed the man filming the session had professional filming equipment, complete with a microphone powerful enough to pick up the voice of manager Kim Hellberg and his coaching staff as they issued training instructions.

• Middlesbrough have since been told by whistleblowers that this is not the first time a member of Southampton’s analyst team has been sent to record opposition training sessions this season.

• Middlesbrough have informed the English Football League that they view this as a clear and obvious case of cheating and are seeking the *harshest possible punishment*. A wide range of action is possible when dealing with cases such as these, including points deductions, fines and *potential expulsion from the play-offs*.

• With that in mind, the club feel they are already at a big disadvantage heading into the two-legged tie and *they believe their opponents are already aware of their starting XI for the first leg*. If they change it, they would not be picking the manager’s first-choice side.

• The deadline for those observations to be returned to the EFL was set at 1pm on Friday but *Southampton are accused of missing it.* Middlesbrough suspect their Championship rivals are playing for time and hope to avoid admitting any wrongdoing until after the game on Saturday.

• Middlesbrough privately believe a fine would not be much of a deterrent in this case given the benefits of gaining an unfair advantage ahead of a game of this magnitude.

• They will push for the harshest possible sanction with owner *Steve Gibson probably set to raise the matter directly with his Southampton counterparts in the Riverside boardroom on Saturday*.

Clearly not a very good spy, he must have stuck out like a sore thumb!

The Millwall player has the defenders collar and falls down pulling the hull palyer down.

It's really clear, there's a difference between the tussling before and that and 'i want Millwall to win.
I'll look again for sure but I just don't agree with the decision. Anyway, 90 minutes I ain't getting back

Wow what an exciting goal-fest! I don't think tomorrow's match can match this.

What a boring game. I imagine Millwall will be happy with the result though going into the second leg.

Think the game tomorrow will be more spicy

That was a stinky turd of game. Don't think I'll watch tomorrow's game, I've had enough of cheats prospering in this league with Ipswich so I'll be buggered if I'm watching Tonda the spying little German sausage cheat his way to victory.

If they've been doing it all season thats quite big surely? You can't let that slide.
If they've been doing it during the regular season I stand by my earlier comment. Boro should be given a pass into the final, and Southampton should start next season with a points deduction.

Just wondering if that spicy 2nd half down there, could be revealing.

They charged LUFC £200000 and introduced a ban on filming another clubs training, so they should just boot them.

Yeah needs a full investigation and a postponement IMO, bugger the TV schedule.
The problem with that is that the date for the final can't really be moved. However Southampton refusing to respond in time is something I would treat as an admission of guilt, and so they should already be getting punished.

If they did kick Southampton out the playoffs which wont happen but it would then let Hollywood Wrexham in
