Our defence was pretty average in the champ last season - Rushworth bailed us out so many times. Even with Amenda we look worse than last season granted better opposition. Pinnock is giving me Ramage vibes.

I think a few of our new players we’ll end up as fan favourites by the end of the season - Yerenkyi , Gboho , Mfuni and Amenda look proper players but unfortunately a lot of the others currently are so out of form and confidence I can’t see where our first win is coming from

Agree, but chances are you get to Christmas on sub-10 points. At that point Lampard is gone, so what incentive is there?

Yes, I am aware we’ll probably be on sub-10 points anyway. Lampard won’t see it like that.

Amenda injury potentially will force Lampard to revert to a back 3. Then you could see Thomas, Pinnock, Mfuni. I don’t think he’ll risk playing and of these as a pair in the PL.

I agree but don’t like the 5 at the back as I feel it limits our attacking threat

We don’t even look like we can compete. I don’t think we’ve managed more than 20 strong minutes a half all season bar the 1st half against Plymouth. Fucking PLYMOUTH.

We’ve got 3 young inexperienced CBs in Thomas , Amenda and Mfuni ( at a push) , backed up by Woolfenden who barely played for Ipswich , Pinnock who looks completely shot and Lati who I sincerely hope never plays centrally for us in the Premier League.

Yerenkyi for me , he reminds me so much of Boateng . Has to play more and be managed with regard to his discipline but looks like he could go on to a lot bigger and better things in his career

I think he's looked a very, very good player. He's just come into a mess, which is always going to make a defender look worse than they are. Even a good defender will struggle in a bad system, and it's hard to tell what our system's supposed to be, at this point.

In honesty, it's difficult to judge any of the new players coming into this. Most of them clearly have a lot of individual talent.

As the saying goes, It's not the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog" and I don't see much fight in this lot. I honestly think they were a very tight knit unit last season. Very together. The loss of Kitching on the last day and Allen finishing his command hasn't helped the unity and bond. They look like a team of strangers ...to each other and us fans. However, I think they'll turn it round.

Agreed. We’ve got some incredibly good prospects; we need them to get better pronto if we’re going to stand a chance. There’s only one way that’s going to happen…
