Difficult to score our players against what was a pretty awesome Arsenal side. Midfield was overun, MVE exposed defensively but Bobby & Amenda were good. Hope we learn quickly from this and I'm sure we will. Arsenal aren't going to determine our season

All in all I think it’s what most of us expected from the game.

We made a fair few mistakes some were punishied and we gave the ball away a lot.

It really was men against boys at times and on another day the scoreline could have been humiliating.

But there are some positives to take out of the game.

JDS wasn’t the rape victim a lot of people thought he would be.

Simms didn’t look out of place and I thought was let down by his supporting cast.

Awoniyi looked a handful when he came on.

Gus is great.

I think we stay up comfortably in 14th.

Simms was good but not really threatening. Awoniyi looked good and threatening.

Say what you want, but I'm still really disappointed by that first half, it was timid. Need to be braver, even against teams of that quality.

Correct Onyeka where was he playing first half,fucking shocking.Simms good game on his own.MVE you are in the big league now stop fucking around. Grimes OK don't know what people were expecting. Rudoni should of scored.Caleb lost,my worry JDS played well apart from no support from BTA who needs to go,not good enough.Arsenal we're too good in 4th gear so we really need to beat the likes of Hull next week.

The positives for me.
Amenda and Thomas did well. Amenda's distribution on his right foot is excellent.
JDS was not the problem. Looked good on the ball.
Simms did pretty well.
Tchaouna our MOM - didn't look daunted.
We looked a bit lacking in midfield. i think we need one more there.

Don't really understand the thought process in playing Onyeka as the most high up midfielder. He was brought in to screen the back four last season. First half the gap between defence and midfield was far too big and we were wide open. Hopefully he won't play there again.

A lot of it looked mental rather than set-up; Grimes looked overawed, and Yirenkyi seemed to lose his head. They were all careless with the ball in the rare occasions we got it.

That doesn't answer the question, but it needs to be seen over a number of games against lesser opposition whether it definitively needs fixing. That game shouldn't define the season.

I dont know who, but premier league experience shielding that defence would make a world of difference. Could play him with grimes with an attacking midfielder infornt, or yerinkyi.

Doesnt mean the end for Grimes but i feel its what we are missing

Mve 5 at fault for first goal and let it affect his whole game
Amends 7.5 looks v good
Thomas 7 especially good second half
JDs 7 great run second half
Grimes 5 no composure
Yirencki 4 poor game especially after yellow card
Onyeka 5.5 best of the 3
Bta 6 tried his heart out but not good enough
Simms 7 some excellent hold up play a gentle giant
Tchouma 6.5 not overawed has to cover much much better Saka would have

Tough game to make your debut in but Yirenkyi was a real disappointment. Didn’t seem to have any positional discipline and tackling was bad. Not sure if he starts vs Hull.

Maybe... split second decisions, to be fair... although they split the good from the great.

Ellis Simms and Amenda really stood out for me. Simms was the most physical I have ever seen him. Amenda was just solid.
