Rushworth 4 made two bad mistakes looked terrified but to his credit improved

Mve 5 one bad mistake, did ok but not a good defender at this level

JDS 6 looked calm and composed and decent going forward

Almenda 7 body on the line often

Thomas 7 had a very good 2nd half

Grimes 4 froze

Onyeka 5 tried hard but technically not good enough

Yirnenkyi 4 had a tough debut

Tuna 6 improve you passing and you’ll be a player

BTA 4 tried hard but miles out of his depth

Simms 6 faded but did well first half

Bobby did well but Big T is a class above Ellis. Rudi looked OK too. Matt Grimes was not much use. Couple of mistakes from wide defenders let them in. Lessons learned.

How do you press that though? At one point Havertz was in the right back position and califiori striker. That level of rotation is elite. We are in the same league on paper but absolutely worlds apart

You can’t mark really against the champions away. I thought Amenda and Awoniyi looked good. Rushworth has a great confidence. We have some good power. Thomas didn’t look out of place.

Very difficult but it would have helped if we didn't have 3 players marking one player who was then still able to pass the ball inside the box for someone to have time to take a touch and then shoot.
We gave them far too much respect and it played into their hands.

We would have lost no matter what we did but I still think we could have done better.

Was reading some comments from other fans and they said the same thing. They think we are not cut out for the prem if that is how we setup.

Midfield was terrible.
Centre halves were good.
Simms was good but not really threatening. Awoniyi looked good and threatening.

Say what you want, but I'm still really disappointed by that first half, it was timid. Need to be braver, even against teams of that quality.
