Match Thread Everton vs Coventry City (A) - Hill Dickinson Stadium - Fri 6th November (8pm KO) (14 Viewers)

I'd like to draw a game at some point. We've lost a couple of valuable points not seeing out scruffy draws. Everton favourites but we should go there confident.

Think it will be our first draw of the season, 1-1.
Same starting 11, which will be harsh on Bobby if he's back.

Be over the moon with a draw

But this season is a long game and if we lose it ain't end of the world. Yesterday's 3pts gives us a bit of time before next 3 are urgent. It's like putting up 3 bricks to make a house. No point crying if just one of them is smashed to pieces. Overall you making progress

Made sense in my head lol

I know never change a winning team - but I would! Three at the back if Thomas fit enough to come in. Drop (Sakamoto - he’s been brilliant of course but away from home sometimes disappears). Rudoni sort of narrow RW/10. 5-2-3 ish.

Do teaching staff get tested for drugs these days?

Point would be fine here!

Looking forward to the new ground and weekend on the beers

Snap your hand off for a point here. Tempted to say same again but maybe play it safe and go 3ATB with Lats unless Thomas is fit again.

We need to play to try and win this, Everton have only beaten Palace and a close 1-0 against Ipswich.
Hopefully we won't go there with a draw in mind.

Ghobo has done enough to warrant a starting place as has Mfuni . I think it should be the same starting line up as yesterday

Awoniyi will have his work cut out

This may sound ridiculous but Thomas if fit will be on the bench! Oneyeka may come in to sit in front of the two CB's.
Yerenkyi to the bench. Grimes still on the bench. Sakamotto's work rate and defensive abilities are excellent and he and Milan have found that partnership again. Simms on the bench but replaces Awoniyi on 60 with a nervous Toffee crowed just waiting for the inevitable Simms goal!

Could be anything this one, draw, loss, win. If we keep it tight, attack with intent then we will get something from the game.

You can't be serious? Onyeka for Yirenkyi? Come on!

The wife and I are making an overnight of this. Afternoon pub crawl and dinner in one of our favourite UK cities, then I get to tick off a ground that was right near the top of my list. Happy days are fucking here again. Every away day I've been on has been great and I'm sure this will be no exception.

Lampard got a lot of big calls spot on yesterday and has a huge decision to make whether he tries to shore up or goes for it; looking forward to seeing what he goes for

3 at the back should only be employed if Thomas is fit. As we need height at the back to defend and also offensively we would be dangerous.

M6.nightmare!
Couldn't be harder.

Have already told work I’m going early. I help them out enough.

And that’s just to make the 3pm coach which I’m sure I’ll have to go straight to from work.

They're really not that great and have a small squad. Obviously no team in this league is there for the taking but we should really be looking to take the game to them.
Same team as last time and score in the first 20, we'll be golden.

i’d like to think with them having less rest we can give them a real challenge

I see they play on Monday and have a quick turnaround to play us this coming Friday. Hope they pick up injuries, suspensions and a large dose of fatigue before facing us. Think we should field the same 11 as the last game.
