If we are talking about the first low moment, it was when we lost to Sutton Utd the year after we won the FA cup. Relegation from the PL and subsequent events are clearly well documented

Off-pitch, the day Wasps bought the Ricoh felt like it for a long old time.

It was definitely this one for me too.

It seemed that on that decision alone we were doomed to be forever tenants and therefore financially crippled for years to come.

Although I’d heard Wasps had stretched themselves it was a long slog before thankfully it came financially crumbling down around them, and even then the Council tried to screw us by selling it to the Fraser Group.

Yeah. Utterly blows my mind what we have come back from. People will say I have Coventry bias, but I stand by it being the most remarkable English league story. We wee not far off from being Bury.

I remember Coventry United being a genuine alternative for many as CCFC just felt so far away from being our club.

St Andrews was different for me. We were booted out that time by the parasites, SISU on that occasion did the right thing by refusing to indemnify wasps. Feel the attendances reflected that too, a few thousand more went to Birmingham than sixfields

Yeah I get that but it wasn't the circumstances I found difficult, it was the feeling that we were going to remain homeless, potless and hopeless until we eventually, inevitably went out of business.

Consequently I think it's why my sweetest moment was waking up to the news that Doug had bought the CBS. It wasn't as joyous as any of our promotions or as exciting as a big win but knowing we once again had a future meant everything.

This for me as well..... i know it was still on the way down and arguably worse was to come, but it felt a real shocker at the time.

Also for me, the next home game after the Gillingham return (was it Yeovil?)......... back down to 11,000 in the ground, felt like nothing had changed really.

For me our lowest moment was that terrible relegation season in League One (Wembley win aside). It was undoubtedly the worst football I've ever seen from a city side, it was the culmination of years of total mismanagement off the pitch, and the aftermath of a really huge missed opportunity the season before, and it just felt like the club was on its knees and we were merely going through the death throes.

Apart from winning at Wembley, the only good thing to happen that season was reappointing Mark Robins, because I think that was a statement the club needed to make that we were serious about trying to put right the mistakes that had been made.

People might not remember it but Colchester away in that League 2 season, it was i think the third defeat on the spin and sent us into midtable and i think our lowest point. When i was monitoring that result coming through i genuinely remember just thinking we were done as a serious football club and we were just a League 2 club. The season was fucking horrible tbh and people just remember the end which adds something of a rosey tint to it.

Wasps buying the arena
The first game in Northampton
Losing to FGR at home
That period under Venus/Slade where we just couldn't put up a fight in League 1.

Genuinely awful time with all the protests going around and talks about a phoenix club. Factually would be league 2 but at least felt with Robins, we would do well

We are very lucky they and the Council's plan failed spectacularly. If Wasps had of took off without CCFC as a tenant, we'd of been fucked.

Just a shame we had to fuck about with Mike Ashley in hindsight, but we got there in the end

For me, the 6-2 v Yeovil wasn't so much a low point, but a real 'WTF!?' moment. It was just the craziest game of football I've probably been too. At that point, iirc we were on track for playoffs, it felt like a minor setback.

On a more serious note, as someone who has not been to many games for 15 years or so, it was very hard to listen to the desperation in Clive Eakin's voice when our frankly pathetic attack went through the motions in our L1 relegation season... You could just tell from his voice that he knew as well as we did that we weren't going to score and that we would concede ridiculously easily. (BTW, no criticism of Eakin, decent commentator IMO)

In fairness, if it was a club/stadium ban not an FBO issued by the courts there is nothing and has never been anything stopping him turning up to away matches, club bans are unenforceable at games played away from home

I always felt at our lowest when we went to rochdale in league 1 on the way down , about 400 of us , we lost 2-0 and rochdsle fans were basically laughing at how shit we were

I have a friend of a friend who was banned from Elland Road - Leeds stopped him going to home games and suspended his ticketing account but there was nothing stopping him from picking up a spare off mates and going to away games, club did not like it at all but there was nothing they could do as it was at the home sides discretion as to whether he could go in for not for away games

Not a club level low point necessarily but personally it was when I convinced myself that Jack McBean was going to be a great signing and get us firing in that 2016 L1 relegation season.

2017/2018 had its moments - Losing to Newport at home, getting thrashed by Yeovil at home (although I can just remember my Dad and I laughing for lots of it) . I also went to Chesterfield away that season and I think they were down to 10 men and we were lucky to escape with a draw.

After getting promotion and then winning L1, I thought everything was going swimmingly…and then there was the pitch fiasco following the Commonwealth Games and the club were taking to social media to inform us that we would play in Burton and then saying that the next game would probably be at the CBS. I thought at the time that it would be nice to support a club where those in charge didn’t have to broadcast where the next game would be held.

Not necessarily a lowest point but the seasons of mediocrity, and inevitable decline, in the championship were the worst for me.

When we started the free fall and all the off field (wherever that field was) there was almost a sense of pride (I’m not sure that’s the word I’m looking for)/galvanising anger /relief to it. We were so bad…”fuck it! Yeah we’re shit and we know it”.
Those championship years were like death/dearth by a thousand papercuts.

Having said all that FGR away still riles me! Sat with the home fans having to listen to the fucking mustard corduroy wearing pricks…

Hard to decide on one. Going to northampton. The league one relegation season was horrendous, L2 was bad through the quality of football matches but I had some good times. The L1 relegation I don't remember any in the league (I exclude the checkatrade run). The home loss to Swindon is the only time I have left a game early l, it was a disgrace (the yakubu game). Worcester loss in the cup was awful. Not the lowest but finally thinking we were out of our worst days then watching us play a home game at burton mid week and get battered was awful.

someone else i know got a club ban after Derby last game at HR.

He still went to games, just others brought him tickets.
