Thanks for the insightSam used to work at the academy. Said a few weeks ago it’s apparently a highly rated group including Claus Jorgensen’s kid.

Hoping I wasn't just biased as they were nice kids! They had great attitude and ability in younger age groups so fingers crossedSam used to work at the academy. Said a few weeks ago it’s apparently a highly rated group including Claus Jorgensen’s kid.
I hope so. We have heard similar before and they've come to nothing.Hoping I wasn't just biased as they were nice kids! They had great attitude and ability in younger age groups so fingers crossed![]()
Be interesting to see the list of new scholars and whether it has changed since I was there - the lads I'm talking about joined the club very early so defo saw L1 days and maybe even L2!I hope so. We have heard similar before and they've come to nothing.
Interesting to know at what stage a lot of the kids coming through were brought in - would we have still been L1 or were a lot of them picked up when we were Championship and so had a bit more pull?
The James lad is rated isn't he?Only 2 of the new scholars are Cov born and come through the academy ranks from an early age, the rest have been signed in from other clubs.
Isn't he the one that Chelsea were trying to poach last summer? The James lad is rated isn't he?
He was only signed in the middle of last season. Would be surprised if he was released already. So I guess that means Lines, Blakely, Marshall, Osague and Panatayio were released.
Does anyone know if Joshua Taluwaloju was brought in as an U21 signing or into the academy and been released as well?
What are their ages? As I understand it, the U18s is made up of 2 intakes. Those who left school last summer and are at the end of their 1st year. And those who've completed 2 years as a scholar and are progressing to the U21s or are being released. So I guess that means Lines, Blakely, Marshall, Osague and Panatayio were released.

The u18s retained list was announced yesterday? What are their ages? As I understand it, the U18s is made up of 2 intakes. Those who left school last summer and are at the end of their 1st year. And those who've completed 2 years as a scholar and are progressing to the U21s or are being released.
When the retained list was announced I don't think the U18s got a mention so I assume that these lads were the 2nd year scholars.
And the Taluwaloju lad wasn't mentioned at all.
Fair enough. I hadn't seen that anywhere. The u18s retained list was announced yesterday?
The mentioned players have all been released.
Seen yesterday that Lines has gone to Norwich, so a decent move for him.Fair enough. I hadn't seen that anywhere.
Did we release?Seen yesterday that Lines has gone to Norwich, so a decent move for him.
Interesting. Perhaps we are finally utilising some of our youth players potential by giving them a chanceHarvey Broad loan to Dagenham & Redbridge for the season.

National League / League 2What we thinking then wkth Callum Perry. I just assumed he'd be one of those that's always around the u21s ans then eventually released but seems he's making a push!
Loan for the season at league 2 or league 1?
Small for a centre half. From an untrained eye, possibly the best chance of making it might mean pushing out to left back. Seems like he's excellent on the ball.
He's listed as being 186cm, which I think is 6'2".Small for a centre half. From an untrained eye, possibly the best chance of making it might mean pushing out to left back. Seems like he's excellent on the ball.
Is he really? Wow. I've seen him a few times in the U21s and he's looked small for a CB. Didn't look any different yesterday. He's listed as being 186cm, which I think is 6'2".

Jamie Allen was once listed as 5'10''.Is he really? Wow. I've seen him a few times in the U21s and he's looked small for a CB. Didn't look any different yesterday.
I stand corrected.
Yeah, same here. Definitely doesn't look 6ft, but hey.Jamie Allen was once listed as 5'10''.
I know players that age can have growth spurts but the couple of times I've seen him he's looked quite small for a CB. I'd have said he was about 5'9''
Does that include Tom Williams the lad who played for England or has someone else 'nicked' him?V excited by the group coming into the U18s this year
Think of the fee as a charitable contribution to support local non league football.U21's at Leam tomorrow night. Might pop along to support them, but not sure if I'll know any of the side. £12 entrance a bit steep for the level, but guess they have to maximise.

Not a name I've come across actually! I've not regularly worked at the academy for a few years though so he may have joined more recently?Has anyone heard Tom Williams
