But let their player off with a warning for doing the same having been booked 2 minutes before. Ref was appalling today as we’re the linesmen. So many bad fouls pulls and pushes ignored by them. Their first was a definite foul on Burge. The defenders diving in their own half to get free kicks. Just shocking from the officials.

I'm sorry, but if I failed my objectives at work there would be consequences. If Robins does it should be the same.

I just don't think he's the right man long term. I know everyone loves him and you can't criticise him without people making dickish comments like yours. I like him as a person, and I want him to do well but, after turning things around, he's gone back to making the same mistakes again and its cost us today.

We all know the budget will be reduced next year so we should get used to this division if we don't go up. I suspect we'll lose many of our better players such as Willis, Jones & Bayliss (granted we've been without Jones for some time). Replacements will be on a budget, hopefully the scouting is now in place but based on January I'm not convinced.

He still has time to turn us around and get us up through the playoffs. I suspect he will be better in league one than he has this year. He seems to be under the impression we should match the long ball tactics of other teams in this league despite not having the players.

If we make the playoffs maybe we should give him the benefit of the doubt and let him have the summer but would need to make a good start.

Which of the team's above have a better squad of players? Luton probably have, but that's it. They have been better managed and played to their teams strengths. We haven't played to our own strengths.

I'm inclined to agree with you but I'd give him until December and see where we are, I'd be expecting automatic promotion places by then if we are still in this league, which I think we will be.

Tis true. We were in a mess before Sisu unfortunately.

I remember that season where we played Walsall at home first home game of the season and I knew we were on a downward spiral.

Looking back, if we'd gone down League 1 instead of Leicester in SISU's first full season then I think we'd be in a better place now.

As I seen it there was no foul-just a player standing his ground. Was the keeper impeded by this? Not for me and that's most likely the view off the official too.

I agree ref was below standard. Not impressed also by antics of NC short haired central midfielder and tall defender with beard. Ref did nothing to stop their
unsportsmanlike actions.
Saying that not the reason why we lost. Poor first half performance and shocking to concede straight after equaliser.

I understand that but fear we will not retain the little talent we have , a downward spiral to who knows where .

Next season performance ibeing better is never a given, I would say it’s blind faith or best guess

Can't help thinking that robins is being judged primarily on fans expectations not the actual ability of the squad compared to other teams. After 41 games it is pretty clear that the current ability of the squad is not consistent or matching expectation... It is not significantly better in performance than many teams presently above and just below them. Indeed given the injuries to key players, the large influx simply to build a team in the first place, the reliance on youth has it really under performed to its actual qualities and ability? It under performs to fans expectations..... ccfc has rarely not done that in many many seasons.

"We are a big team" or "We are the biggest team in the division " does not give rights to promotion or disguise the weaknesses that exist throughout the whole squad. We are there or there abouts but so are a number of other teams. We have some players with potential that may or may not come through for us, but in the main we have inconsistent league 2 players that lack confidence. We have a manager that makes some mistakes is that a surprise ? The solution is get rid of him, get rid of lots if players , tear it all up and start again..... like that has worked so often before. Is it coincidence that Accrington, Luton, Wycombe are not one year projects?

Is the ccfc squad the best or one of the best on the pitch deserving of automatic promotion from this division? Performance so far would suggest only in brief flashes that have rarely lasted more than 45 minutes. It takes more than that.

Personally I think it is time to build not dismantle, to learn and bond. Yes some will leave but this argument that it is all to do with annual budget is an over simplification..... just look at the teams that succeed or succeeded on less.

for 32 of those we were in the top flight but I suppose being in the top 6 of 2nd 3rd or 4th divisions is infinitely better.

He makes mistakes he doesn't inspire confidence certainly among many of the fans. However the league 2 managers seem to rate him. As they have all seen him that isn't based solely on the back four in front of him

Personally I would have favoured an older more experienced keeper especially with a brand new team and the number of young players but I suspect the budget for what we really need just wasn't there.

But it hasn't been the only problem. Generally the full backs have been hit and miss, we need more than one creative option wide and centrally. We needed a leader for seasons we found one but now now need to plan a replacement.

If we miss promotion it will not be because of one player , burge or otherwise. They have all had good moments but they have all been crap at other times and cost us . Our biggest problem this season has been consistency be it in individuals, matches or for the season itself

We are an upper half league 2 team in a division that is dire most of the time. I think the level of being decent isn't actually that high.

Sooner we get out of this division the better and we can still do that

I won’t disagree about the frailties of Burge but the manager brought in a much needed new keeper pre-season but he isn’t good enough is he, played a few games at the start made a couple of costly errors, dropped for Burge never or hardly ever to return. A poor and costly signing to go with the two inept signings he made in January

don't see the blame on Burge for either goal. First one was clearly a foul as the player backed into him and almost had him over the line. If he had pushed him out of the way and given a pen away there would of been murder on here.

One thing puzzles me. Posters keep saying we should be top three with the squad we have. Then next breath that the recruitment has been poor. As we had to pretty much recruit a new team which is it?

Was going to post similar. Post after post about how terrible our players our yet Robins should have them walking to the title as its the best squad in the division!

Also seems to be an idea that players on other teams don't make mistakes. If they were that consistent they wouldn't be in L2, its just that we see our lot every week and see every mistake. Burge is a prime example, voted the best keeper in the division yet most of our supporters don't want him in the side.

Last 10 games or so he has been really poor. I keep saying it but people don't generally listen.

I think that's because we've had more players in the team playing like clowns.

Watching the Newport game it felt like we couldn't be bothered, and I think the same now. We aren't up for it enough.
