Possibly but worth noting that pre-result when polls favoured leave the £ dropped, when they favoured stay it rose.

At leaves highest polling point investorers were giving preference to negative interest German bonds over Sterling. That is a very worrying sign.

It's already the worst crash since 1921.

Just need Trump to win now and we'll have a Boris and Trump 'dream team'.

A start would be to stop whinging and bitching about the the result not going the way you wanted, both the public and the politicians.:)

NI is interesting. A push to leave the UK there has more implications than it does in Scotland. Let's just hope they move forward peacefully and it doesn't serve as a spark to reignite past issues.

Hopefully we're long enough removed from those times for it to be a non issue.

Ni are going nowhere as they are very reliant on the uk and won't want to get into bed with the broke south, Scotland good luck with going oils worth about as much as water and their other specialism is unemployment.

It shows the danger of referenda. People have, at least partly, against e.g. Cameron and immigration and not solely for the supposed benefits of leaving. The older people have voted totally against the wishes of the younger ones. Probably would have been better to leave the decision to the elected representatives.

People sometimes vote with more emotion than common sense, so the break up of the UK could follow even if it is not the cleverest thing to do.

I think there should have been an upper age limit on the vote, my father in law is 75 and voted my nephew is 16 but couldn't who's it going to effect more in time. My father in law even said he voted for his grandkids.

People have voted to stick two fingers up to the government.

UK voted out because of immigration. There are no boats waiting at Dover to take them out. They are not going NOWHERE - (Ref Boris Johnson, Stratford-upon-Avon, live on SKY)

UK voted out to cut numbers coming into the UK - There are about 2 million expats living in Europe on an EU passport, including me, who now do not know if we can stay here, in Spain - So that's 2 million extra people for the UK to fit back in.

People on holiday now will notice their beer has gone up in price as their pound is worth less when changing to a Euro.

Cameron had to go. Losing a referendum is a vote of no confidence in his leadership.
 
What I don't get is, everywhere you turn it is majority and minority. The press saying it is a disaster, social media going crazy saying it is a disaster etc but how come the majority actually voted to leave?*

*Not sarcasm, I am by no means a political expert.

Politicians are simply not listening to the people they represent. Democracy goes bottom up not top down. It's the same with all political parties at the moment.

I believe all the leaderships of the main political parties will now have to stand down who supported remain.

Nonsense. It disengagement from mainstream politics for large sectors of the country. It's a resounding defeat if you take out London and the other countries.

It's a swipe at the lazy inept political system.
 
Interesting Coventry City Council also took a position on the EU referendum. Looks like there has been a vote of no confidence in George Duggins leadership by the people of Coventry.

Needs to step down.

For Britain? I don't know but it's up to us and not the EU for a change. For the EU? It continues to collapse and the Netherlands, and possibly even France, will be the next to go.
 
im really gutted. A democracy is a democracy, and I haven't lost faith in that. I've just lost faith in the electorate....too many people voting based on emotion. I also have an interesting table ill dig out
