Transfer Rumour Summer Transfer Window 2026 (30 Viewers)

Could it be Archie Brown? He wasn't under Mourinho for long at Fener but it looks like Mourinho bought him in. Would match up with the Dawkins Instanbul hint too. Although it would contradict the Championship LB rumour so God knows.
That sort of profile would suit us perfectly. Would cost us about £20m though

Yep. He's absolute massive for a LB and very quick too. Very 'this window' coded.

Great business we have done so far but we need more activity in defence. Just have reminders popping in my head of how fragile we looked at the back against the likes of Preston. We have only added 1 new addition (I am not including Rushy) so that has me slightly nervous. We can’t rely on scoring 3 most games like last year with the pedigree of the teams we will be up against

I’m nervous about Saka facing JDS if I’m honest

I wouldn't be too suprised if we were to line up in a 3-5-1-1 against the gunners for that reason, with Hamer playing as the AM behind the striker.
With Grimes, Yirenkiyi and Onyeka (if fit) in midfield.

We need to stop Saka getting the room to run at JDS, and we cant afford to get overloaded in the middle of the park.

We can always revert to using wingers in the later stages if we need to.

Which fullback would you back to successfully contain Saka? It's going to be much more about team shape and collective effort.
Let's be honest. Most teams will have been doing their homework and seeing that JD is our weak link. He is in for a busy old season.

Si Phillips saying that Palace might go in for Acheampong as Disasi is fucking around wanting to wait for a better offer.

Chelsea are starting to have a clear out.they need at least 15 players of their books….

I meant ANY fullback, not just the ones we currently have. Saka on his day will create against anybody, so as I said the collective team performance is probably more relevant to getting any kind of result.
Yeah I get you but I want a premier league skilled LB, JDS is not it

Tristen Batanwi, (tongue in cheek) but...
stick speed on saka he gets contained. spence and udogie could handle him for that reason

Slightly disappointing, yes, thoroughly is a bit harsh... A solid signing rather than an exciting one, admittedly.
I was reading some analysis earlier that had him as the 3rd or 4th highest chance creator last season in the championship at a similar level to Matt Grime. It is probably stats like that that brought him onto the radar, if we were ever truly linked

The more I think about Mudryk the more I feel it’ll be a terrible mistake.

Undoubtedly the kid has skill and talent but it goes completely against Kings and the clubs policies to loan a player just to get him fit for his parent club.

He hasn’t played a competitive game for so long and image him having to be picked ahead of EMC or Saka who work their socks off for us.

His obvious poor personal choices (party life away from football) would have an impact too.

Just doesn’t sit right with me and the more I think about it the more I believe it ain’t happening.

Terrible mistake? With a loan is it possible to be a terrible mistake? Hes not even in competition for Saka's place.

We've got a very good overall team collectively I would say. We have brought in a few quality players now too to make it better, but we are going into a league with some that are world class.

It's going to be a hard slog, so I don't really mind that we take a gamble on bringing in a player that could light things up.

I agree with @Fergusons_Beard on this as I think if we loan him we will get him match fit so Chelsea can benefit from that, I would think differently if he hadn't been banned as he is obviously a very good player. Also if Cherif can play LW as well that is that position covered by him & EMC.

Several sources - though it’s possible that they have a common origin - saying that a deal for Hugo Bueno is close. £12 - £15 million being quoted.
