I would say Pinnock is a shoe in and then probably Bobby but it's so harsh on Mfuni and AA looked good for us too

Keep forgetting about Amenda. Lots of games to play though and ultimately Mfuni isn't our player

Not sure, but given we're currently missing two its a good job we've got a pool of them.

His experience is going to be so valuable to the squad, you can see him organizing and at 3-1 was trying to calm everyone down. Definitely still got legs and can move although his experience puts him into positions that he keeps a lot of things in front of him.

The performance today of hom and Mfuni is great because it gives time for Thomas to fully recover.

Players with the experience of Pinnock can be invaluable..Look at Dunk at Brighton,at 34 playing brilliantly , Gross too at 35.

Our CB situation is so weirdly comfortable right now. I think you have to keep Mfuni in, which is brutal on Thomas who has been great, and thats before you even get to Amenda who looked good before he was crocked.

Im already getting upset about him leaving at the end of the season

Remember playing Liverpool not long after Michael Owen broke into their first team. Think he was 17 and I was blown away watching him, he was incredible.

Thats how I feel watching Mfuni.

I was very sceptical after his first outing, but it’s clear that was just a lack of match sharpness and unfamiliarity with his team mates, tactics etc.

Never once doubted his experience or pedigree, there are some Brentford fans who make an argument to suggest he is their best ever Centre Half considering what he achieved with them

But I was ever so slightly apprehensive at his age and the fact he was limited to 8 appearances last season that he may have been a bit past it

Glad to have been proven wrong, he has been a calm head and a shrewd signing so far, really what we needed

Someone mentioned it a while ago but he really does feel like our PL version of McFadz...a calm older head who will help the inexperienced (not just in terms of age but more so level) players through games whilst also being a bloody good player himself

Been so impressed with him lately. He knows he’s not the quickest but has a very good awareness of positioning and when not to commit.

Much better than I expected and really he’s only the same age as tarkowski and Maguire so he’s got some oil left in the tank for another 2-3 years.
