Pinnock (1 Viewer)

Windy Pish or whatever he is called said his legs had gone

Maybe he only uses them Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

We need more midweek games.
He was also brilliant against the Florists on a Saturday afternoon.

He’s an experienced premier league player and can adapt to his lack of pace by using his awareness

The fact there was a lot of panic when Amenda was injured but we have looked better

I was massively critical of him vs Brighton, and didn't see him offering much more than Kitching at that point.

Glad to be so wrong. Excellent vs Forest, and again last night.... Think he got lucky with the penalty shout though

Still think Amenda is one that will massively improve and look better than Pinnock, however, the balance Pinnock gives us as a left footer is massive and would Amenda displace Bobby T who has been herculean these last two games and been one of the standouts throughout our season, I'm not too sure

Which penalty shout?

Takes a little while to settle into a new club and team. He’s building a good relationship now with Thomas and understanding Rushworth’s positioning and JDS at LB. Wise old head.

You can see his experience helps him get in the best positions to defend. He is a tidy player that does the simple things well. Experience is the key to this signing and could be worth every penny come the end of the season.

Not saying he is anyway comparable to Maldini but the great man once said 'If I have to make a tackle I've already made a mistake' and it seems like that is what is valuable with Pinnock, he seems to know what position to be in to negate the danger before he needs to make that tackle 8 times out of 10

Who are our first choice two CBs when all fit?

I would say Pinnock is a shoe in and then probably Bobby but it's so harsh on Mfuni and AA looked good for us too

Bobby been great , mfuni looks great , pinnock the undroppable one to me .. tough choices for frank but mfuni can play left back too

Centre-back partnership is Pinnock and Mfuni, imo.

Pinnock has the know-how at the level that we so desperately needed, and Mfuni's just a special player.

I suspect that 3 at the back may be the way forward away from home, though. Twice we've played it away, and twice we've been good.

Just think it's harsh on Bobby as he has been one of our best players.

Our CB options seem very very good
