Pinnock

Amenda is not a natural LCB. Playing him there is a square peg in a round hole.

Amenda is a better player than Thomas, Pinnock is a better player than Kitching (and Thomas).

Its a no brainer for me that generally Amenda plays RCB, Pinnock LCB. As it happens I reckon we'll play a 3 tomorrow including Thomas.

We are not playing 3 at the back v Hull at home 😂😂

We'll see. Time will tell....

Maybe we do go with a 4 but we obviously have no alternative to JDS at LB so the type of game where his lack of height may get exposed. Plenty of height and physicality in their team which we need to match up. We didnt beat them last year so definitely not a given that we do this year as likely our team may only have 3, maybe 4, new starters.

We did however finish 22 points ahead and +48!! ahead on GD. They will also probably only have 3/4 new players in the team. People need to stop pretending Hull are something they aren't.

It would be a bit disastrous not to get a win.

Yep. As long as Frank isn't overly sentimental with some of his selections we should be fine and none of this Grimes, Onyeka, Yirenkyi bollocks, its not necessary vs Hull. I hope we muller them tbh, the online talk surrounding us and Hull as if they are some sort of super team and we've completely fucked it is a bit mental really. It's largely the same Hull team that got slapped about by several mediocre Championship outfits.

Agree that the Onyeka/Grimes/Yirencki didnt work, so you stay with a back 4 and then who do you play.. a half fit Rudoni who didnt have a preseason, an unfit Hamer or a lightweight Torp?

Your choice and the tactics you want to deploy to boss the game and manage the threats that Hull will carry and look to expose in the game.

To be fair it is pretty uch the same team for them as last year and they didn't expose him then, while we didn't beat them they didn't really trouble us either.

OGY with Onyeka playing the advanced pressing role did work really well versus Monaco at home.
Expect Lampard will stick by them.

In my view yes, but others seen to think Hull are fodder and we'll play our usual system.
to be fair no one thinks they are "fodder". people just think that we if we plan on even mounting a fight to stay up we shouldn't be fearing playing Hull and changing systems.

three at the back, Hamer and Onyeka in midfield, Tuna EMC and Big T up front

if we’re on top and comfortable 2nd half, back 4, Grimes on for a CB, Caleb and maybe Rudoni later and Cherif last 15 / 20

Sky sports pundits bigging them up! Mind you Nolan doesn't like us for some reason🤣😁

Pinnock is not starting tomorrow, stop being silly. People need to put some respect on Bobby’s name.

Pinnock will start v Man City in a back three.
And we’ll get rinsed just like Palace did stick to what we’re used to otherwise we make more issues for ourself changing too much

Agree aslong as you have a football brain you don't need to have Usain Bolt like speed

If we play a back four I don't think he should be first choice yet but expect he'll anchor a back three whenever we play it. Good debut.
