From the consistency of their messaging there's a pattern of certain posters wanting certain players to fail.
I think someone else said it's to win internet points/arguments which is a priority vs. the player doing well for us.

He’s proved it at league 1 - Carl baker was a talent in league 1 - the pace in this league is different and he has very little and now I suspect none
He may well not make it, but that is due to the lack of application, rather than the lack of ability. I won't disagree with anyone writing him off, based on the evidence (or lack thereof) recently, but he has shown that he possesses talent. Probably me being pedantic over the interpretation of the word. I have about a 25% expectation that he will step up to the plate, but I live in hope!

I do understand- he has no proven talent at this level. None. Carl Baker excelled at this level and league 2 not just for us but other clubs. You are talking about this guy as if he is a George Best figure who has gone down a league but has proven talent at the top
