They can issue a club ban, ban them from the CBS and suspend ticketing accounts and remove the ability to buy tickets, but there would be nothing stopping them from buying a ticket from a mate and going to an away game

Of course they can ask the away club to not let in people on a club ban but that is a bit of a logistical nightmare

It's actually quite simple in legal terms.

For something to be illegal there needs a crime to be committed that has guidelines to what the sentence should be for someone breaking the law. For something unlawful there's no sentencing guidelines. It's something that the police shouldn't get involved in unless another law is broken which there's sentencing guidelines for.....

As another poster says, we need a halfway solution between what we have and France has. It's completely unfair that innocent people who just happened to be on the same coach and go into the same shop (including children) have their faces plastered all over social media because of one or two people. Where, the vast majority of people won't watch the full video, they will just jump to a a conclusion and after a two second glance make up their mind that anyone in the picture is "100% Guilty" with some going as far to name people. That is completely wrong in my opinion. It has the potential to wreck lives, cost jobs etc.

I've travelled with City on some of the unofficial coaches with some less than law abiding characters. Does that make me guilty just for being there?

The innocent are innocent and the guilty are guilty, the innocent should inform whoever necessary of those taking part in the criminal actions. If they don’t we gradually slide towards a lawless society !

Of course they can, you have to purchase tickets via eTickecting / Ticketmaster. There will be a way to remove rights from buying away tickets.

Yes there may be workarounds,etc but it makes it more difficult for them to get tickets especially with the demand for away tickets.

The assault and the adult looking ones at the end are where it crosses the line for me. Sympathy with the shopkeeper of course, although I'm not a fan of everyone suddenly being holier than thou and a witch hunt to see them punished more strongly than a lot of other crimes that don't even get investigated.

Kids shoplifting after a beer or three is wrong as we all know in our wise old age, but if social media videos and cctv were around a generation ago, I think half the countries football fans would be on there for that and much worse. I'd like to see a slap on the wrist, pleased the shopkeeper has been recompensed, but talk of banning orders and the like are way too far.

I think in my day I'd have been more worried about going home and facing my parents and the shame of it all.

I would've been too, but the problem is I find these days that's not the case.

i've seen first hand where kids that are absolute little shits causing all sorts of problems when the parents are informed their response isn't to discipline the kids but have a go at the person telling them and blaming pretty much anyone but their kid because they're an angel and wouldn't do that.

Just like we see with the kids riding around on trail bikes or those kids that were driving the wrong way up the motorway. Never their fault, it's everyone elses.
