Forest were piss poor and didn't bring Chris Wood on till the 73rd minute, and then they looked much more dangerous.

The truth is Pinnock had a very easy game today and Forest didn't use the press or play with much intensity. Their fans are not happy with their performance, so let's not start getting carried away with 1 win.

Prior to yesterday, we had conceded 7 goals in 2 games with Pinnock at CH, so its probably wise to wait a few weeks before judging him.

It's a really good point regarding waiting a while before deciding if a player is any good. There are a lot of people on here doing exactly the opposite of that. It's not point scoring, it's a fact.

Would help if people wouldn't chat absolute shite and slag the players off at every given opportunity then go into hiding when they're shown out chatting absolute shite every year.

Other than that Pinnock was great yesterday, definitely an improvement on his performance against Villa.

Agreed, its amazing how a player can be
1, written off before hes kicked a ball
2, be a world beater after 1 win.

Quick thinking can cover up for lack of pace sometimes. Look at McGinn on Wed or the great Franco Baresi not blessed with pace but he read the game so well he didn't need pace.

Not at all, but I know its unusual to be realistic on here.

Waiting at least a few weeks before judging a player isnt something that you see from a lot of posters.
Some players are shit before they've even played while others are immune from any criticism. Its bizarre

You have a history of writing off players before giving them a fair chance. Wright being a prime example

We’ve played Arsenal and Man City away plus a Brighton team in very good form.

Tbf, if we'd got 4 or 5 points on the board at this stage we'd all be more than happy, so we arnt that far behind. And getting that win just before the international break will do us the world of good

Bloody hell talk about turning a positive into a negative. Ethan headed away everything he needed to also made a great block before it went to to 1-0. Headed away in the 97th minute to

He played well at Man City. We lost 1-0 so which game did we concede the other 6

Yes he did, but 1 good game in 3 doesn't convince me he's the new Bobby Moore.

Im not saying he's shite, im saying i need to see some consistency before being convinced hes worth a regular start.
Hopefully he can build on yesterday's performance and be ready for a tougher test against Newcastle utd.
 
I thought he made a lot of good tackles late on v Villa and played himself into form, which resulted in that performance.

Remember he has not been a regular starter with Brentford, so hopefully he finds his flow going forward.

To be fair all the criticisms of Wright were fair and still apply: work rate, refusal to use his physical attributes, touch of a rapist. But he scores goals like no other so they’re all moot.

over 200 career goals at a strike rate better than 1 in 3 would suggest he definitely knows what hes doing.
Not to.mention that hes still a PL player at very nearly 35 years old.

Lots of international caps as well, even if it is only New Zealand.
