We talk about pace of the premier league and here we are signing a guy with no pace and not played for Brentford for ages.
I'm not sure if we are trying too hard with some signings? We have a good confident bunch already that came up. A few tweaks of class maybe needed but not sure where all these new guys fit in tbh, and are they much better than what we have already?

The pace doesn't mean a striker running in behind like it did years ago, it means the whole team doing everything at pace. Quicker passing and quicker movement, not a 100m sprint competition necessarily.

Apparently because at 33 his legs have gone and he ain't up to PL standard any more.

Obviously I hope he has another season in him, but a 3 year contract for a player that age sounds very risky, my guess is he wouldn't come here unless there was a lengthy contract on the table, but I fear we may of had our pants pulled down.

Just by way of comparison, he's the same age as Bidwell who most believe is past it now.
