Did you guys ever see that pigeon down the burges, it had that McFlurry thing around it’s neck to make it look like it was wearing a ruff from the Stuart times? It was a great thing.

[skybluetony176]

So Are you saying that for instance,
If you wear the mask and you have the virus, it won’t prevent you spreading the virus to others
If you cough or sneeze in a public place ?

According to Finish scientists 3D modelling there’s a lot of merit in the general public wearing masks in public not to stop yourself catching it as such but to stop anyone who might have it spreading it. 3D simulation shows how a single cough can spread coronavirus through a grocery store

[skybluetony176]

Went to the Supermarket today and a guy was wearing a bin bag on his HEAD.

The World's Gone Nuts.

Maybe he was an NHS worker who’d just finished his shift and not noticed that he’d accidentally left his government supplied PPE on.

No but I saw this

Trump said yesterday that “antibiotics would usually fix these things but the germ has got too smart”

Relatively speaking of course

[Johhny Blue]

Without doubt that's his MO. The frightening thing is how many people believe him, and even worse when it's pointed out his revisionist take on things with old tweets/comments they still refuse to believe he was ever wrong or changed his rhetoric.

It's a good job we don't have posters like that on here

[Earlsdon_Skyblue1]

You Tories get so sore when faced with the reality that you voted for, don't be such a snowflake.

Your post (and the attached likes) just qualified my points entirely.

I didn't even vote Conservative.

[Earlsdon_Skyblue1]

Or maybe, just maybe, people aren't trying to take the higher ground or point score, maybe they're genuinely upset and angry at the appalling response by the government and that thousands of people are dying?

Just a thought.

Well you are particularly one sided on this so you can keep telling yourself that's the case.

It's pretty obvious this thread is one point scoring orgy.

[Johhny Blue]

What Street do you live in?

Downing

[SIR ERNIE]

He is making it up as he goes along basing what I said about midwives being the same for those treating positive patients.

But you didn't refer to midwives in your original post though did you:

My girlfriend gets new PPE at the start of each shift, I’d presume and hope this is the same there.

It was only when others pointed out that PPE should be changed for each patient that you admitted she wasn't front line.

[Johhny Blue]

I'm informed grenners is trying to talk to me.

As below you are on ignore for being a weirdo.

Get a job

Funny how you use an ignored post to show that you ignore a poster.
It's back to the dictionary for you son. Ignore is in the ("I" section in between "H' & "J") Ironically "Irony" will be found there as well

[Astute]

It remains to be seen as to whether she receives the Abbot treatment or not, as Abbot is still
Receiving the treatment ‘from what I can make out.

How many comments against her from this thread alone would you like to see?

She seems to be useless. She seems to be untrustworthy. She stumbled on a number. Abbott said the number she had worked out for herself. Wouldn't want either of them in charge of anything.

[Cov. Kids. Never. Quit]

So genuine question to all the Brexiteers. Would you be happy with the big leave day being postponed off the back of this current situation? I have no agenda or follow up point btw, just interested as it seems split on social media within the brexit ranks.

We have already left and the world is going into recession and that includes Europe, so no party .

[PVA]

We have already left and the world is going into recession and that includes Europe, so no party .

We have left in name only. We are still part of just about everything in the EU we just have no say in anything (taking back control).

Because I can see his posts when they are quoted.

As you can clearly see it shows the posts as being ignored.

Eyesight would be in the section mate.

Criticise both sides all you want. One side has been in charge for a decade and done fuck all to prepare the NHS for anything like this and in actual fact made it less capable due to ideologically enforced privatisations and the other side hasn’t. Hypothetical ‘the other side are just as bad’ is pathetic stawman bollocks.

[Ian1779]

I've openly said I think they could have dealt with it better. Equally I think Labour would have dealt with it worse.

You claim to be neutral yet have troped out this nonsense with literally not 1 shred of evidence to support it (mostly because even you know it’s bullshit) So you’re not neutral in the slightest... and making out so is laughably worse than what you accuse some of being.

[Otis]

Interesting.

What have I said that is nonsense? My points have largely been proven since my original post already.

The mentality here is that because I'm not 100% Labour that means I'm an enemy? I seem to remember the same attitudes back in the 2016 referendum. I've done more tory negative posts (due to the corona handling) and criticse both parties when I see fit. Considering that I didn't vote for, or like either of them, I don't see how that makes me anything other than neutral.

Really, get a grip.

Interesting.

The chinese said they had good results with that only on mild to moderate cases

But still.

Mind, if it was used on SARS, why wasn't it deployed this time with Covid-19?

Exactly what I’m saying.

How is she not frontline?

[PVA]

I wonder if this has opened his eyes a little? I sincerely hope so, but we shall see.

Boris Johnson has praised the "exemplary" care he has received from doctors and nurses during his coronavirus treatment, saying: "I owe them my life."

Hailing the work of medics at St Thomas' Hospital in London, the prime minister has told friends: "I can't thank them enough."

[David O'Day]

But still.

Mind, if it was used on SARS, why wasn't it deployed this time with Covid-19?

The Chinese did use it on Covid-19 patients, it could useful for mild cases but didnt show any results against severe cases

You said this crisis would be worse under Labour... with no discernible or credible evidence to back up that view. I’m calling it out because it’s a) pure whataboutery b) deflection and c) total bullshit.

It is a global emergency, and yes it has hit some countries very badly. But we had the jump on this, we had time to get our shit together. Herd Immunity is an ideology that sits perfectly in the Tory attitudes of fuck the poor.

The Tories own this... every single failure to prepare adequately sits solely with them and no-one else.

[Otis]

Over here I mean. Just didn't think it was worth it? A mild, or moderate case can surely turn into a severe case can't it. Often the symptoms start off as mild don't they?

I can’t stand Patel for many reasons ‘this isn’t and won’t become one of them.
The abuse including death threats that Abbott endures is unbelievable ‘and whatever Patel
Gets up to in the future ‘she will never truly receive the Abbott treatment.

I said I thought the crisis would be handled even worse under Labour, that's not saying the tories have handled it well is it? That's not saying anyone other than the tories are accountable is it?

Your post is completely bizarre. I made the point that the tories handled it badly and can break that down into several reasons also. I only said that I don't think Labour would have come out any better. Obviously the only point you picked up on was the latter.

Instead of trying to add a balanced debate and perhaps talk about the points I raised, you have completely proved yourself to be one of the people I was talking about in my original post. To bring up my post from a while back is exactly point scoring.

You're bitter Ian. If I had said fuck labour and suck off the tories you might have a point, but all I have done is say that trying to see this from a neutral perspective is like no man's land, and that the actual virus is a side plot to some in their conquest to boast about their own political standpoints.

[Sick Boy]

But you didn't refer to midwives in your original post though did you:

It was only when others pointed out that PPE should be changed for each patient that you admitted she wasn't front line.

I’ve repeated numerous times on here she’s a midwife over the last 5 years.

I wasn’t actually trying to make out she was on the frontline either, nor did I say she was, I feel worried about her enough as it is.

[skybluetony176]

I’ve repeated numerous times on here she’s a midwife for the last 5 years.

Is your girlfriend a midwife?

[Saddlebrains]

Have a goose at this. Lab created. Was never from some prick chowing down on bat soup

[Liquid Gold]

I think Timmy Mallet would have done a really shit job dealing with this. That also has no relevance because he also hasn't been in the position to do anything about it.

[Ring Of Steel]

But you didn't refer to midwives in your original post though did you:

“Admitted she wasn’t on the front line”??

What, so she’s not as important, inferior somehow?

prick

[fernandopartridge]

Midwives are frontline, delivering babies is non elective and covid doesn't discriminate. Pretty ignorant to suggest they're not.
