CCFC/Ipswich/Hull summer recruitment thread. (2 Viewers)

Of course it does. But it doesn't mean we're already relegated and Hull are staying up like many would love you to believe.
@TomRad85 is hating Hull more than Birmingham at the moment so I disagree he’s loving it.

I don't know about hate. I find the owner embarrassing and I find us falling behind them over the summer REALLY fucking embarrassing, but I don't suppose I can hate them for it. I think I hate us more than anyone right now!

If we had beaten Hull on Saturday there would have been no complaints about our window. The truth is we’re all still pissed off by that loss…maybe fairly. DK and Lamps have got the season to prove how successful the window was. It’s not been a great start.

Er yes there would of still.

We're still short a couple of players. If we were on 6 points we'd still be short of a couple of players. LW & LB at least.

What is King up to do we think?

I find the strategy a little bit odd. I'm fairly sure we'll go down. I hope I'm wrong. It's not that the players we've signed aren't good enough, it's just that the squad overall isn't strong enough.

If we had for example spent 22m quid on that Everton midfielder that Hull have then people would be losing their mind so it's swings and roundbaouts really.

I think this is my issue. I like that we’ve gone for a top young talent like Cherif but it’s £20m on what looks like end up being a rotation option when there are other areas of the squad that could’ve done with that funding spent on it.

Similar to not adding another Prem experienced CM alongside Yirenkyi.

How sure are we that Cherif is in fact a top young talent

Maybe, but I really think the frustration is with such a bad loss on Saturday more than the window. As I said, I get it. It was really damaging.

The thought of hearing ‘you’re getting mauled by the tigers’ should never happen and I can’t quite get over it.

Just give him a chance before writing him off. After all it's what normally happens on here before the players have a chance to show what they can do.

The waste of money squad we put together with the Hamer and Gyokeres money didn't end up being that bad.......

He accounts for 1/5th of our transfer budget and hasnt made a prem squad yet. People are allowed to be a bit realistic

The bits I've watched and read about him, fairly sure. He's raw though. That's what £20m gets you though. When you look at what other teams are spending on individual players you realise how bit the challenge is for us.

In a way, I like that we've mostly gone for £20m players who should be much better than what we have. Think it's probably a better strategy than buying twice the amount of £10m players. We could just have done with a couple more.

Sounds like Hull will announce a couple more unless they've fallen through.
