Agree, their fixtures have been relatively kind too. We’ve played Sheff U an Boro with two impressive wins. I’m not sure why Hull (a) is being classed a L or D. Their home form is mid. In isolation, every game we have left is winnable and we’ve turned a corner, we’re finding ways to win games.

I hope so too. That said, the BBC spoke him last year and asked him if he’d go to the playoff finals if we got there. He was non-committal but said his son might do something like that.

100% - it’ll ebb and flow but really we should be looking at winning the next two. That gives us a bit of leeway should be drop points v Southampton.

True, we bottled it that year a little bit. 3 wins in the final 13 but the team was nowhere near Top 6 level.

We may have had something to play for at the end of the 23/24 season if the rule had been in place.

I suppose it gives more midtable teams something to play for so there’s less dead rubber games. There’s no real advantage to finishing 3rd or 4th so a first round bye again gives teams something to play for. Logistically though, there typically isn’t a close gap between teams in 3rd or 4th...

As long as we do our job and beat Bristol, that’s the main thing. Boro, Ipswich or both of them slipping up is a sweet bonus.

23/24 Hull (a) it took me well over an hour to get out of the parking by the ground. I would 100% not do that again as I was dangerously sleepy on the drive home. For me, I won’t drive to evening games where the distance is 2+ hours, far too dangerous overnight. I’ll get a coach usually and...

Fingers crossed for us both because Ipswich haven’t beaten Leicester in 7 attempts. On one hand, I’d like to see Ipswich get a bloodied nose but who wouldn’t want to point and laugh at @hackneyfox if they get back-to-back relegations… 😂

    U OK M8 ? (A rolling poll)

This probably isn’t a shock to anyone, but I’m relaxed about it all in a confident way. Most games are tense affairs because there’s a lot riding on it and the limbs for Rudoni’s goals last week was reflective of that. I’ll enjoy at the end of the season if we secure promotion, but would like...

Exactly that. 6-7 wins from here on out is about par for the course this season and 7 wins makes us all but unreachable. The ask for Boro and Ipswich is an exceptional run of run of form that neither have done and they both meet each and Millwall. If both teams go unbeaten for the rest of the...

For additional context, neither team has managed this all season. So the people obsessing over mathematical possibilities We stuttered over a difficult winter period, reinforced in Jan, lost top spot for a week and two weeks later we established a 5 point gap. Ultimately, the only way we...

Boro’s ppg wasn’t actually that great, they went 4 games without a win around Xmas themselves so they arguably should’ve caught us sooner. The bigger picture here is that although we lost top spot, we were never in real danger of falling out of the top 2 which is the point here. My personal...

I’ve never said impossible, I said ‘low percentage’ and ‘absurd’ which an 80% rate is by any metric. To put into context how difficult that is, the best win % in the last 10+ years was Leeds last season on 67.4% and both Boro and Ipswich are tracking below Sheff U’s tally from that same season...

Bristol City and PNE are not scary games and to be frank, I think we’ll beat Southampton. Their last tough away game was v Boro where they got battered. I’m bullish about our home form, if anything I could see a draw v Portsmouth, Wrexham or something.

I’ll go one step further, there’s just no good reason to suggest that both Ipswich and Boro will go onto to overtake us. One, maybe. Both of them, it’s just not a likely outcome.

Not even, it’s maintaining our record whereas the ask for Boro and Ipswich is to outperform it significantly. They play each other one or both of them will lose points on that day. We have 6 games at home where our win record is 13-3-1, we ought to win at least 4 of the remaining games. It’s...

Thankfully, our toughest games are at home which is a huge advantage for us. I don’t back us to lose to anyone else this season. I’d rather take our fixtures to be honest. There’s a lot of the same fixtures, Swansea (a), Sheff W (h), Blackburn (a), Bristol City (h) and we swap the order of...

Right, what % would you put that Ipswich and Boro win 80% of their remaining games? Bearing in mind they both play each other, the absolute max for them both is 90%. I don’t think there’s been a 10 game period where either team have won 8/10 of their games. It’s only us who’ve done it from...
