Such confidence
Can’t believe we’ll get 95 points

Why is everyone throwing a D in for Southampton?

We were the better team in the 1st half there and could’ve (should’ve?!) taken 3pts if Dasilva stayed on.

That’s with MvE + Rudoni at 25%, no Tats, no Thomas, no Onyeka, no BTA.

Take out Wednesday from their away results; they beat Stoke and were 3-0 down by HT at Leicester - before that no win away since 22nd November.

They have hit form, currently ahead of us in the last 5: Championship - Form table

All three games on paper are very winnable.

Brizzle have some injuries and will be tired after their FA Cup game, whereas we have had the rest after a buoyant win Saturday.

PNE results haven’t been good in the last five and arguably we should have won there in December.

Southampton was a tight game when we played St Fairies, but we were winning and the game changed on the back of JDS red card. Who knows what would’ve happened if JDS doesn’t get sent off.

Given we are top, confidence is high, limited unavailability of players, looking more resolute and hungry for it, there is no reason we can’t get 9/9.

That's pretty much how I see it, although I have a feeling we might lose to Southampton, but I think 93 will be more than enough

Sounds stupid but I hope the team take it 1 game at a time, focus on the next game and play like its the last game for the next 11 fixtures

This.

I was thinking about this and the run in and how it compares to Matchplay Golf (like the Ryder Cup). Each player goes into thinking their opponent is going to hole every putt, stuff an approach shot into the middle of the green or hit the fairway with every drive. All they need to do is concentrate on themselves doing that so if their opponent doesn't do it, they're at an advantage.

We're the same and just need to concentrate on what we're doing and not getting overly bothered about Boro, Ipswich or Millwall.

Like you said, concentrate on getting 3 points after 3 points after 3 points and it won't matter what the others do.

With the advantage we’ve got or as Benjamin Bloom calls it margin for error we can afford to drop points here and there, but as long as we focus on ourselves and our own run in, the game at hand we’ll win the league. As Lampard said himself although not word for word its about finding that formula then rinse and repeat

Yup, that's it. You can slice and dice the run in any way you choose - average league position of opponents, their PPG at home/away, last 10 form etc - But it's ultimately down to each 3 points...

For each of us is as follows:

Us:
Bristol City (A)
Preson (H)
Southampton (H)

Boro:
QPR (A)
Charlton (H)
Bristol City (H)

Ipswich:
Leicester (H)
Stoke (A)
Wednesday (A)

I think we're going to have to win at least two of ours to maintain a decent gap. The chasers have favourable fixtures and in particular Ipswich who you'd expect 9 points from.

Get through this three and Swansea away after on top and our run in eases considerably. DO that and I think we're champions. It's going to be an intersting few weeks now though.
It's quite likely the gap will narrow and the pressure will increase in the next couple of weeks. I'm a bit more comfortable with Rudi, the Tank and Lati providing a gutsy backbone. Hopefully Grimes can get to peak form to lead and help control things.

Agree, their fixtures have been relatively kind too. We’ve played Sheff U an Boro with two impressive wins.

I’m not sure why Hull (a) is being classed a L or D. Their home form is mid. In isolation, every game we have left is winnable and we’ve turned a corner, we’re finding ways to win games.

Every game is winnable, we’re top of the league. That doesn’t mean we’ll win every game though.
